Job Summary/Overview:
The B2B Monitor Sr. Product Manager, is a critical leadership role with expectations covering a wide range of business areas including Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Financial Forecasting, and Customer/Partner Relationships. This employee will be expected to provide strategic support to the Executive Director of Product Marketing for all areas related to driving our B2B Monitor business. The Sr. PM needs to be comfortable working across many functions and in collaboration with different teams to help drive Samsung to our goals and deliver on managements expectations.
Role and Responsibilities
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Strategizes product marketing plans for assigned products to meet KPIs
Learn and become an expert in the B2B monitor market
Works with marketing insights team to address market needs to strategically grow the B2B monitor business with a focus in current areas of underperformance
Owns the rollout and execution of T2 programs put in place to drive reseller engagement including post mortem analysis of success/failure
Utilizes weekly product sales data to gauge and correct trends in order to drive sell-in to distribution and sell-through to end-users
Collaborates with sales teams and customers to understand strategies & challenges, and provide the marketing support needed for successful selling
Works with T3 PM Director to lead large business opportunities with end-users
Contributes in sales and supply chain meetings, develops weekly forecasts, and confirms the sales estimates essential for achieving supply chain efficiency and appropriate inventory levels
Assesses the impact of missed forecast on inventory and manufacturing and takes corrective actions to prevent share loss in all premium segments
Collaborates with Product Manager to align AP2 forecast for assigned products
Partners with demand generation team to develop promotional content (e.g., presentations, trade show signage, merchandising storyboards, website content, product spec sheets, and product use collateral)
Attends market trade shows to promote and explain products directly to customers & sales teams
Routinely communicates with HQ to obtain information about new products and report on assigned products performance
Effectively prioritizes and manages regular and ad hoc requests from leadership and HQ
Sales and P&L Analysis Analyzes sales forecasts and monitors sales and marketing investments as needed for maintaining accurate target plans (TP) and inventory balance and for achieving business P&L goals
Sales Optimization and Alignment Partners with sales to remove obstacles to the achievement of sales goals
Forecasting and Inventory Monitoring and Optimization Prepares and owns AP2 forecasts for assigned categories, collaborates with supply chain, sales, and customers to ensure appropriate inventory levels throughout the product lifecycle, and timely end-of-life (EOL) strategies
Customer management One of multiple points of contact for the internal sales team and external customers for all planning and execution
Product Lifecycle Planning and Execution Supports Sr. Product Manager on developing and executing the marketing plans essential for ensuring success and achieving targeted business metrics
People Leader with at least one direct report, this person is responsible for the growth and mentoring of team members
Skills and Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
Extensive experience in supporting (e.g., sales, customer support, supply chain) a product or technology in consumer electronics or enterprise business
Experience working in large, matrix organizations and the ability to drive other parts of the organization to help premium monitor reach goals
Ability to prioritize tasks as needed within the business group and distribute work to the team accordingly
Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience in public speaking
Korean reading/writing/speaking considered a plus not a requirement
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree (B.A. or B.S.)
Masters degree considered a plus not a requirement
6-10 years employment in sales or marketing
Physical/Travel Requirements:
Ability to work 3 days in corporate office and 2 days in home office per week (not required)
10-20% domestic travel
