The newly formed Price Elasticity Product team responsibly leverages data across Chase to build competitive advantages for the businesses while providing value and protection for customers. Job Description
We are an intellectually diverse team of economists, statisticians, engineers, and other analytics professionals, focused on quantitative modeling within CCB at JPMorgan Chase & Co. The team answers complex and unique questions, utilizing cutting edge quantitative and computational techniques and leveraging one of the world™s largest repositories of consumer data. We work closely with our partners throughout JPMorgan Chase to assess and execute critical business decisions.
Responsibilities:
Build and compile data pipelines, complex predictive models and optimization routines into executable packages for prototype QA testing and production deployment.
Assist in solution backtesting exercises for Fair Lending and other key stakeholders
Conduct transaction data analyses with Hadoop/Cloud and big data technologies and turn massive amounts of data into actionable insights that drive business value.
Find opportunities to create and automate repeatable analysis for the business.
Work on cross functional teams and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Proactively raise critical issues to the business and technology partners.
Keep abreast of industry trends and provide recommendations for testing new and emerging technology
Support ongoing technology evaluation process and proof of concept projects
Be a thought leader, mentor, and train junior staff
Ensure project delivery within timelines and meet critical business needs.
About you
We're looking for highly motivated team players with a passion for applied data science and with the initiative and insight to develop innovative analytic solutions
Basic Qualifications:
8 years of relevant work experience as a software developer, data engineer, data scientist, business intelligence engineer.
Bachelor™s degree in Computer Science Engineering, MIS, Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative subject
Superior problem-solving skills coupled with abilities to understand business requirements and to communicate complex information effectively to broad audiences.
Highly detail oriented and have demonstrated experience executing deliverables on schedule.
Good team player and excellent interpersonal skills.
Able to multitask and efficiently manage competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
High level of competence in Python and Unix/Linux scripts.
Proficiency with Anaconda ecosystem including Pandas, Numpy and Scipy.
Familiarity with version control via Git and source code management in a multi-developer Agile setting
Excellent understanding of database principles, structures, theories, and practices.
High level of proficiency manipulating data from a variety of sources Big data experience (Hadoop, Hive, Spark) and advanced SQL skills required.
Working knowledge of banking, specifically retail deposits, auto and mortgage lending.
Hands on experience with development on cloud including AWS EC2 and EMR environments and S3 storage.
Analyze data using tools such as Tableau, Alteryx and SQL to develop and automate reports or analysis that lead to actionable business insights
Ability to collaborate across teams using a consultative approach
Self-starter, demonstrated strong work ethic
Experience in practical data analysis and cleansing, modeling (machine learning, time series, NLP), and visualization
Strong track record of success as demonstrated by professional/educational background & accomplishments
