The NAM CCB In-Business Risk & Controls (IBRC) organization is an integral part of the Business and drives consistency for addressing Operational Risk and Control issues and ensuring a sound and effective control environment exists within the business functions.

**Responsibilities:**
This position leads the governance and metrics reporting within NAM IBRC to drive accountability and ensure accurate reporting and escalation to the business stakeholders. This position works closely with Business stakeholders as well as Operational Risk Management (ORM), corporate and regional Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Operations and other cross functional partners to assess and strengthen the control environment.
This is a role creation to support the heightened standards arising from the firms commitments to our regulators in the risk and controls space. The role reports to the Head of NAM CCB IBRC, and is located in Citis New York headquarters.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
+ Maintain charters, prepare materials and track action items for senior control forums, including the NAM CCB Business Risk & Control Committee (BRCC), Canada country-level BRCC, and New Activity Approval Steering Committee.
+ Prepare weekly update report to raise senior leadership awareness of key control issues.
+ Assist with issue and corrective action management, including input into Citi Risk & Control system, monthly reporting, and trend analysis.
+ Assist in key periodic attestation processes.
+ Analyze operational risk data (typically losses, key risk indicator metrics or assessment results) to identify areas of potential risk, drive reporting/backup materials for presentation to senior CCB management.
+ Identify risk and control trends and common themes within CCB across regions, product types and functions, in collaboration with Global and other regional IBRC teams.
+ Identify changes in business strategy, market conditions, industry trends, regulatory environment, regional or country macro-economic factors, etc. which may lead to increased risk, and recommend enhancements to process controls to address them.
+ Assist in the development of CCBs communications on key risk topics and initiatives.
+ Lead or actively contribute to initiatives to identify, assess and reduce key risk areas within and across products and geographies.
+ Contribute to preparation of procedures and training modules.
+ Make recommendations to automate/digitize controls, monitoring and testing, where appropriate, using robotics, data retrievals and other techniques.
+ Liaise with Compliance, ORM, and other subject matter experts to ensure consistency in reporting, as appropriate, and help find solutions to address control gaps.
+ Build trusted relationships with business leaders, functional process and product owners, other IBRC teams as well as second- and third-line partners.

**Qualifications:**
+ Undergraduate degree from an accredited university in the US or abroad required; masters degree or MBA preferred.
+ Minimum of 6 years of experience in a control function (first, second or third line) at a financial institution or consulting firm.
+ Experience in operational risk, compliance risk and/or regulatory risk preferred.
+ Demonstrated analytical skills and experience, including the ability to communicate complex analytical ideas in a way that is understandable.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven senior management presentation skills.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables & V-Lookup).
+ Successful experience operating within a multi-disciplined function and juggling competing priorities.
+ Strong relationship/partnership skills, with the ability to unite individuals from different departments, functions, geographies, or backgrounds.
+ Active listening, influencing, and negotiating skills.
+ Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously.
+ Forward-compatible mindset, with the desire to leverage technology to improve controls and monitoring.
