Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking for a **Cloud Computing Architect Level 4 or Level 5** to join their team in, **AZ** **CO, IL, MO, SC TX, VA, or WA** . This position will focus on supporting the cloud migration initiatives in the Digital Aviation Solutions business organization within Boeing Global Services.


Seeking an architect experienced in cloud production operations who is excited to be a part of a geo-distributed organization supporting multiple cloud, on-premises, and hybrid application infrastructures. Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and using Azure DevOps (ADO) to implement DevSecOps for production environments is desired. Strong candidates show:


Application of system architecture and cloud architecture concepts and techniques to facilitate major technical decisions expressed in technical vision, strategy, and system architecture.


Examples of analysis to align technical scope to project scope, resolve architecturally significant requirements, define technical risks and mitigation strategy, define technical dependencies and dependency management strategy, and align solutions with enterprise architecture and cloud computing strategies.


A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as the position will work with many system teams to support their migration from on-premise to cloud computing.


**Position Responsibilities:**


+ Defines or verifies requirements, architecture, designs and plans for systems being migrated from an on-premise data center to the cloud. Scope includes migration and production operations.

+ Prepares initial design constraints and ensures architecture conforms to cloud migration requirements and production operations requirements. Production operations requirements include alerting, monitoring, high availability, disaster recovery, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) and information security.

+ Develops and maintains architecture views, models and other required documentation. Contributes to the definition of architecture principles, guidelines, patterns, standards, etc. for the cloud migration scope.

+ Performs feasibility assessments of cloud migration solutions and alternatives.

+ Monitors the cloud migration and transition to production operations for correctness and completeness. Provides technical mentoring, guidance and clarification to team members, vendors, and system teams.

+ Provides effective communication to business and technical community on behalf of the project.


**This position has been identified as a Hybrid role with occasional on site work 2 days per week.**

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**


+ Experience with DevOps, migration, and production operations experience.

+ Experience with CICD implementation experience for both infrastructure and software deployments. Experience with tools such as Ansible, Chef, Jenkins, Puppet, and Azure DevOps.

+ Experience with implementing alerting and monitoring with tools such as Azure Monitor

+ Experience with defining application testing strategies, including tools, for system, integration, and performance testing in Azure.

+ Experience with Azure services including Kubernetes service, Postgres DBaaS, Azures IaaS, and Azures PaaS.

+ Experience with implementing disaster recovery and conducting recovery testing.

+ Experience with implementing hybrid operations including database replication and file replication between data centers and the cloud.


**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**


+ 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

+ Aviation domain experience

+ Cloud architecture certifications for Azure, AWS, or GCP

+ Threat modeling and cyber security analysis experience

+ Implementation experience with data pipelines and ETL in Azure with tools such as Data Factory

+ AWS experience comparable to the required Azure qualifications


**Typical Education & Experience:**


**Level 4:**


Technical bachelors degree and typically 9 or more years related work experience or a Masters degree with typically 7 or more years or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


**Level 5** **:**


Technical bachelors degree and typically 14 or more years related work experience or a Masters degree with typically 12 or more years or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
