Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a Commissioning Engineer for our Buildings + Places practice in the NYC/NJ metro area to assist the Commissioning group with commissioning process for office/field tasks on various building types. The individual can be positioned in either the New York City or Clifton, NJ office however, must be willing to travel into NYC as needed for project field tasks/coordination/meetings.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Performing Commissioning activities such as field visits, equipment testing, reports
preparing commissioning plan, testing procedures, systems manual
Developing field reports
Reviewing MEP plans and submittals
Reviewing controls submittals

AECOMs Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture.

Minimum Requirements
BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.
Commissioning Field and/or Office Activities experience.
US Citizenship is required due to the nature of this position.
A valid drivers license is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience for engagement in MEP systems/commissioning process such as preparing commissioning plans, checklist, testing procedures and report
Experience with design and calculations related to MEP systems and Commissioning
Experience interacting with clients, contractors, and architects
Experience working with building control systems, equipment controls and sequence of operations
Experience with mechanical, electrical and plumbing building systems design
AutoCAD and Revit experience.
Experience in commercial, hospitality, education, hi-rise buildings
Good interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
CxA certification
LEED accredited professional
Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
