**Job Description:**
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Data Scientist who will help us discover the information advantage hidden in vast amounts of data, and help us make smarter decisions to deliver better products and services. Your primary focus will be in applying data science techniques, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems integrating with our products and services. This role will work with Lines of Business partners to enhance revenue and mitigate risk.
Key Responsibilities:
Individual contributor role practicing and enabling data science at Bank of America
Leads or works with a senior data scientist on data science projects
Interacts with business partners to understand business requirements and drives data science projects to achieve business goals
Builds and optimizes classifiers using machine learning techniques
Performs ad-hoc analysis and presents results in a clear manner
Extends companys data with third party sources of information when needed
Performs tasks of data wrangling and feature engineering
Ensures data integrity for analysis and modeling
Data visualization
Required and Desired Qualifications
Experience
Prior experience managing and driving tools for analytics use. Examples include data cleansing and quality, business intelligence, predictive analytics and operational feeds
Prior experience in applying Machine Learning, NLP, Deep Learning , Statistical Modeling, Quantitative Analysis, Forecasting, Data Visualization to enable strategy and solve business problems
Prior experience utilizing multiple machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as Gradient Boosted Trees, CNN, RNN LSTM, etc. with proven outcomes in application towards business problems
Prior experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, distributed computing
Expertise in multiple languages such as Python (scikit learn, pandas, numpy etc.) SAS, SQL, R & MATLAB, C/C+Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to crisply define and communicate concepts and tailor messaging to audiences appropriately
Strong analytical skills with the ability to innovate and drive strategic decisions
Ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to delegate work to subordinate or less experienced team members
Ability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions
Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
Education
Advanced Degree in a STEM discipline like computer science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Bioinformatics etc.
