The e-Commerce FP&A Senior Manager is a key member of the Samsung.com Strategy & Operations group and will be the financial analysis part leader with the goal of optimizing the profitability of eComs major product categories such as mobile, home entertainment, and digital appliance product, as well as eCommerce sell-out platforms (EPP, SMB, T/I, Carriers, BOPIS/Marketplace, Payments, etc) . This role will work with all lines of business to coordinate business planning efforts, manage relationships with strategic external partners, and identify opportunities to enhance sales via the various eCommerce programs. This role will also help to centralize tracking and reporting against stretch targets for each line of business and deep-dive data to find insights that drive overall growth. Individual must be organized, have strong attention to detail, and be able to work with urgency and accuracy in a faced-paced environment.
Role and Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include:
Lead team of 2+ FP&A COE analysts to achieve total team success and manage business planning and forecasting process for eCommerce
Own the monthly/quarterly variance analysis and review P&L to ensure financial data accuracy.
Conduct operating expense, and capital expenditure reporting. Reconcile between reports and system outputs, ensuring 100% accuracy across all deliverables. Meet all internal financial reporting requirements.
Act as project manager and as primary finance reviewer for new initiatives related to eCommerce new products and identify areas of optimization and drivers of growth.
Provide strategic thought direction to improve carrier activation sales and financing plan adoption among consumers.
Support new business development activities and manage relationships with strategic external partners.
Skills and Qualifications
Background & Competencies Required:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field
7+ years of accounting or financial experience
Previous experience in business planning, financial analysis, or similar function, with a focus on business development and online commerce.
Demonstrated program management ability, with proven success in planning and executing projects and strategic initiatives.
Excellent analytical, problem resolution, and decision-making skills.
Experience with building financial models in Excel to automate reporting
Ability to work in a matrix environment across organizational boundaries to build alignment and drive issues to completion.
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Tableau, and SAP FI/CO systems are preferred.
