Sitting in between CGW and the ever-changing tech landscape, the Innovation team prospects emerging technologies and develops rapid solutions which automate processes and accelerate growth for the banking business.
**What We Do**
We are a small, global team of engineers and data scientists who deliver solutions built both in-house and in partnerships with tech industry vendors from fintech startups to institutional giants. Many of our projects are proofs of concept leveraging cutting-edge technologies like natural language processing, computer vision, blockchain, and conversational AI. Our team works rapidly and collaboratively like a start-up, but with the resources and opportunities of a large global institution.
**What Youll Do**
As a full stack engineer, you will be responsible for developing applications in the emerging tech space. You will have the opportunity to:
+ Accountable for executing and driving results on large-scale efforts or multiple smaller efforts and serving as a development lead for most medium and large projects. This includes expertise with application development methodologies and standards for program analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and implementation.
+ Accountable for exhibiting a strong understanding of client core business functions.
+ Research and experiment with innovative technologies across various fields, e.g cloud engineering, blockchain, Open Banking technologies.
+ Rapidly prototype, test, and evaluate solutions built with cutting-edge data science, big data engineering, server-side, and reactive front-end technologies
+ Design, build, and deploy production-ready applications operating on a diverse range of structured and unstructured data in the financial space
+ Own high-visibility projects from start to finish alongside data scientists, UI/UX designers, and project managers in a collaborative, flexible, and fast-paced environment
+ Power innovative products which streamline productivity, enhance existing products, or deliver the next generation of banking and analytics tools to support CGWs best-in-class private banking services
+ Publish design patterns across lines of business and domain commonalities. Drive design reviews for Next Gen Architecture (NGA) and Plan of Record (POR) projects, supporting design principles and best practices.
+ Participate in micro services and NGA code reviews.
**What Youll Need**
+ Bachelors/University degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Masters degree preferred
+ 6-10 years of relevant experience in an Apps Development role or senior level experience in an Enterprise Architecture role with subject matter expert in one or more areas.
+ Exhibit expertise in all aspects of technology by understanding broader patterns and techniques as they apply to Citis internal and external cloud platforms (AWS, PCF, Akamai)
+ Lead resources and serve as a functional SME across the company through advanced knowledge of algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, networking, use of knowledge and experience to lead, architect, and drive broader adoption forward.
+ Acquire relevant technology and financial industry skills (AWS PWS) and understand all aspects of NGA technology including innovative approaches and new opportunities.
+ Demonstrate knowledge on automating code quality, code performance, unit testing, and build processing in the CI/CD.
+ Strong understanding of basic software development principles, e.g. OOP, encapsulation, and micro services architecture
+ Proficiency in Java, Python, React, ReactNative, Angular, SQL, Javascript, and other language or domain-specific packages like Spring, Pandas, etc.
+ Proficiency in web technologies such as JSON, XML, Apache Nginx, HTTP/3
+ Proficiency with mobile development such as Flutter/iOS/Android a plus.,
+ Experience with agile development
+ Strong communication skills, e.g. ability to translate business use cases to tech specs, working with diverse project teams, and developing relationships with vendors

+ Self-starter attitude and a desire to continuously learn new skills
+ Familiarity with basic banking principles like investing, AML/KYC, sensitive PII data, regulations, etc.
+ Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
+ Working knowledge of Gateway solutions such as APIC, APIGEE
+ Working knowledge of Data encryption standards, Cryptography would be a plus
+ Working knowledge of industry practices and standards
