Global Engineering Lead for Commodities User Interface

The Commodities Global UI Lead is a position responsible for all commodities sales and trader UI technology. This includes internal and external electronic trading, market data management and publication, risk and Pnl management, revenue analytics and managing the respective team leads of each of these areas. The role will involve coordinating the commodities UI book of work and defining resource location strategy and common goals across the applications to align deliveries to the business priorities and oversight of any new UI projects that are required. The candidate will be responsible for introducing common coding practices, establishing design patterns, and architecting the overall commodities user experience.


Responsibilities:


+ Architect and develop React HTML5 GUI solutions within the Commodities Internal Trader platform

+ Work with the server side developers, sales, traders and quants on new product screens/offerings, advanced data visualization, performance optimization on streaming data and memory management

+ Define the implementation, testing, documentation and release process as per business requirements and firm standards

+ Collaborating with other global Commodities technology teams and more widely across markets technology


Knowledge/Experience:


+ Experience managing a global development team

+ Experience leading the development of projects covering any of the following areas: eTrading, linear and option Pricing, Risk/PNL, RFQ, Trade Booking, Market Data management

+ Experience developing advanced UI systems and drive to create an optimal UX design

+ Experience working with Front Office teams, understanding their requirements and implementing solutions adhering to business needs

+ Experience with building and maintaining robust and scalable real time data streaming platforms

+ Ability to work accurately and autonomously in a fast-paced trading environment


Technical Knowledge/Experience:


+ Advanced knowledge in: React / JavaScript/ TypeScript / HTML5 / UI, UX Design (Angular will also be considered)

+ Not a must, but would be an added bonus to have experience in: WPF / C#

+ Experience with third party controls like: ag-grid / Highcharts / Telerik / Infragistics

+ Messaging Middleware: Tibco / Rabbit MQ / Kafka / Solace / Signal R

+ REST API's / Web Socket API's / XML / JSON processing


Education:


+ Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience
