The Information Security Analyst designs, implements and supports enterprise security controls and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and risk mitigation through formal cross-organizational security projects and programs.
Making an Impact
Support administrative processes and procedures for key security projects in alignment with global security and corporate policy requirements.
Analyze, prioritize and facilitate oversight of key information security controls compliance and data protection activities.
Design, develop and track security compliance reporting to measure and drive continuous improvement.
Conduct operational security reviews and compliance assessments; identify required improvements and lead implementation efforts as necessary.
Conduct threat and risk analyses to mitigate potential vulnerabilities, enhance enterprise tool capabilities and improve security compliance across corporate systems, platforms and end user resources
Highlight security issues and risks through the use and distribution of security dashboards and reporting metrics.
Establish standard security practices across the organization including cross-organizational coordination and alignment of security related policies, processes and procedures.
Leverage methods and tools to monitor, track and assess overall compliance with data privacy requirements.
Oversee third-party vendor activities including security related controls and compliance programs, continuous measurement, risk mitigation support and reporting.
Sharing Expertise
Oversee risk management activities including identification, validation, prioritization and remediation efforts associated with identified security issues.
Monitor IT applications, assets and platforms leveraging enterprise security toolsets to ensure compliance with established security protocols; provide appropriate guidance and training to end users relative to use of standard procedures.
Provide technical recommendations for improvement of steady state and responses to third-party inquiries/assessments.
Gaining Exposure
Develop and maintain ongoing security training and awareness activities to promote security awareness, enhance overall protection, and improve efficiency.
Analyze security data generated by enterprise security platforms to identify and resolve known threats across applications and platforms; ensure continuous protective measures are appropriately established.
Assist in the analysis, development and ongoing improvement of a comprehensive, flexible and scalable privacy and data protection practices in alignment with business and client requirements.
Your Typical Day
Conduct intensive technical reviews of IT systems to identify areas of risk and develop plans for protection of digital data against unauthorized access, modification, deletion, and release.
Develop and maintain internal documentation and security content including intranet sites, online collaboration portals and repositories.

Qualifications:
Required
BA (or equivalent) in Computer Science from an accredited college or university required; minimum two years of relevant enterprise security related work experience.
Solid understanding of security technologies and risk mitigation practices including NIST/ISO controls and compliance requirements.
Experience with key security functions including endpoint protection, secure remote access, anti-malware support and security event management.
Knowledge of key information technology best practices, methodologies and standards.
Excellent communication skills with team members and customers.
Nice to Have
Advanced degree in an IT related field and/or technical certifications preferred.
