We are creating a world-class, in-house Global Mobility function, and we are looking for a talented Global Mobility & Immigration Advisor Americas, who will play a pivotal role within our growing centre of excellence.

Background:
AECOM has already embarked on a Global Mobility Transformation, focused on the future mobility of talent at AECOM. As we further define our future strategy for Global Mobility, and to make us fit for the future and beyond, we are developing global policies and processes, transforming from an operations focused function to that of strategic business partner.
This exciting role will sit within the newly created Global Mobility Centre of Excellence for AECOM. The role will be highly rewarding, providing you with the opportunity to work with our Global Mobility Managers and businesses across the Americas region, helping us drive the team and capabilities forward.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Co-creating solutions for cross border mobile workforce issues, the mobilization of talent, whilst ensuring compliance with expatriate tax, social security, immigration and internal governance policies and procedures.
Advising on and managing complex US immigration cases
Collaborating with external immigration providers and internal partners to achieve compliance with US immigration laws and internal immigration policies
Serve as a point of contact for employees, HR, Talent Acquisition and the business on immigration inquiries and ensuring AECOMs immigration program is administered consistently across all business units
Partnering with our Global Mobility Operations team, other GM regions and HR service Center to ensure high quality support is provided to our employees moving internationally
Building collaborative relationships with stakeholders to influence and drive change in Global Mobility areas
Providing advice to both the business and HR on all aspects of global relocation matters for the Americas region
Partnering with the business to provide responsive, time critical advice, and guidance in respect of new overseas bids
Providing feedback and best practices solutions related to current policies and processes
Being a point of contact for vendors - including relocation, tax service and immigration service providers
Consulting with stakeholders at all levels in the business, on complex immigration matters
Support the regional GM Director and Manager as required
Provide monthly/quarterly/ad hoc reporting to HR leadership, the wider Global Mobility team and other stakeholders as necessary
Key to the success of the assignee experience is the smooth implementation at the earlier stages of the assignment lifecycle and your input may be required from time-to-time in ad-hoc operational tasks e.g. running a cost estimates, running reports, etc.

Minimum Requirements
BA/BS plus at least 4 years of relevant global mobility/immigration experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Experience should include US immigration experience handling large volumes of immigrant and non-immigrant matters including H1B, L1, TN, E3, O1, and the PERM labor certification process
Experience with expatriate & relocation program management and working knowledge of creating cost estimates and assignment letters
Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
Canadian immigration experience is a plus
Ability to clearly and concisely articulate immigration matters to different stakeholders
Previous in-house experience in domestic relocation programs
Good working knowledge of immigration, expatriate tax and social security complexities
Experience in assignee case management/ and conflict resolution
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and ability to handle sensitive situations/documentation.
Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas
Strong cross-cultural awareness and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Knowledge and experience of Assignment Pro and Workday technology
Comfortable working with assignments/relocations to locations that may not have established processes or have had previous assignments into.
Ability to work in a fast-changing environment which can often result in having to manage conflicting priorities
Strong team player, with a can-do pro-active attitude and ability to work effectively with remote teams
Continuous improvement mindset
Additional Information :
Due to the remote/virtual nature of this position, relocation assistance is not available.
Offered rate of compensation (Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000.
