The Information Services Group (ISG) is responsible for providing authoritative sources of reference data to our clients across the Institutional Client Services (ICG) organization, through implementing state of the art technologies which promote the collection, storage, analysis, and distribution of product, pricing, account and corporate action data. The ISG organization works in partnership with data clients across all ICG business lines, deploying solutions to increase their competitiveness, through restructuring business processes, simplifying information access, and providing business intelligence around critical data.
Within ISG, GPU is an integral part of the Centralized Pricing team and operates on a global model with end-to-end ownership at GPCGurgaon and providing 24/6 coverage. Over the years, GPU has gathered expertise in pricing a variety of capital market instruments. The team responsible for providing security pricing data to fund accounting team to ensure timely and accurate NAV is delivered to the clients. Additionally, they have a specialized team that provides valuations for OTC derivative instruments.
Primary responsibilities include Support the execution of strategic business initiatives, workflow design, Application/EUC development and implementation of the departments goals and objectives. Ensure that all company policies are followed, and special projects are carried out in a competent and cost-effective manner. Build strong working relationships with functional managers and develop the product and business knowledge on Global security pricing for the team in Gurgaon.
Ensure steady flow of completing daily tasks, gain expertise over the functions you are handling and align appropriate backups in all servicing functions. Ensure quality assurance on critical functions. Maintain productivity standards and focus on providing best in class customer service to avoid unnecessary expenses associated with customer dissatisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Be flexible and available to provide support within different time zones, considering its a global team supporting APAC, EMEA & NAM regions
+ Development and maintenance of applications/EUC using VBA, Excel, MS-access, MS-outlook & PowerPoint
+ Should be able to understand and maintain complex SQL queries
+ Transformation of data using Xceptor
+ Own the entire life cycle of the development project
+ Develop and maintain technical support documentation
+ Should be able to create complex modules
+ Should have strong knowledge & understanding of GPU Operations / BAU concepts
+ Participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production
+ Provide technical support for the users of application/EUC
+ Expected to be able to do bug fixing and issues within tight SLA
+ Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members
+ Should work closely with ops team to understand the development & change requirement
+ People and resource management (e.g. people development, attrition, pipeline/skills monitoring, and training programs). Responsible for managing a team with Multiple sub processes
+ Manage the performance management cycle - Objective setting, development and career planning, performance appraisal and reward & recognition for the team
+ Improving and maintaining a controlled environment (e.g. necessary controls activities along process flow implemented, appropriate control tools in place, team members fully understand risks and related controls)
+ Maintain efficient communication channels with team member, managers, internal / external clients.
+ Identify/ manage risk and control breakdowns. Take responsibility for the quality of work submitted and ensure that the highest standards are maintained.
+ Conduct regular team meetings (onshore and offshore staff), 1:1s, and coaching sessions.
+ Manage projects and other initiative as required.
+ Must be organized and have excellent follow-up and prioritization abilities
+ Assist the management in keeping abreast of significant events, outstanding items, or issues encountered
+ Be a coach and mentor for the team members
+ Review the teams performance from time-to-time (BSC, Quarterly, semi-annually& annually)
+ Bring the expertise to create the department as a single utility/function and contribute to the operating platform
+ Assist the teams in dealing with delivering BAU activities and related escalations
+ Ensure adherence to all audit policies and procedures. Work with both internal and external auditors on any requests / inquiries related to SOX, SOC1 or other regulatory audits and control analysis
+ Expected to work in various shifts to support APAC, EMEA, and NAM operations
**Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities**
+ Strong Knowledge of VBA, Excel and MS-Access.
+ Understanding of Activex Data Objects, Class models
+ Should have understanding of XML, Java Script, Microsoft VB dotnet, ASP.net, C#.
+ Strong knowledge of database/SQL
+ Strong business acumen and the ability to build partnerships with operational associates
+ High degree of problem-solving skills, attention to details, ability to multitask
+ Can operate effectively in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines, and can prioritize teams work to achieve them
+ Flexibility on public holiday shifts
+ Strong organization skills with an excellent attention to detail and ability to focus on high quality work while under pressure
**What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?**
+ Should have masters degree, Masters in computer Application (MCA) would be preferred
+ Should have 11+ years of experience in developing high end applications/EUC
+ Overall relevant industry experience of 11 to 16 years
+ Possessing certifications in advance excel skills will be an added advantage
**Additional Desirable Qualifications**
+ Crisis management Requires the ability to handle multiple problems and make quick decisions under pressure in order to meet application/EUC development deadlines. This would entail dealing with various external and internal personnel to resolve problems.

Build strong working relationships with functional managers and develop the product and business knowledge on Global security pricing for the team in Gurgaon.

+ Assist in the assessment of effectiveness of pricing controls and the tolerances used in applying those controls.
+ Assist in identifying and implementing desirable systems or procedures enhancements.

+ Analyze the daily price exceptions and manage the volumes to ensure that securities are accurately priced
+ Be responsible for signing off high & sensitive exceptions related to pricing, corporate actions and security setup.
+ Ensure adherence to all audit policies and procedures. Work with both internal and external auditors on any requests / inquiries related to SOX, SOC1 or other regulatory audits and control analysis.
+ Understand global procedures to support other markets during off hours
+ Expected to work in various shifts to support APAC, EMEA, and NAM operations

+ Strong knowledge of asset pricing theory and probability; practical experience in fixed income pricing and reference data.

+ Flexibility on public holiday shifts
+ Familiarity with a wide array of financial product types like bond, equity or derivatives.
+ Ability to complete the daily pricing analysis function and identify potential problems and issues.
+ Understanding of the components and calculation of the net asset value.
+ Maintain sound knowledge of various types of securities and markets in order to analyse price reasonableness provided by vendors and brokers.
+ Ability to review others work through attention to details and detect control and pricing problems effectively.
+ Strong organization skills with an excellent attention to detail and ability to focus on high quality work while under pressure
**What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?**
+ Should be a finance graduate, higher qualification / masters degree would be an added advantage
+ Should have 3-5 years of experience in global reference data management (pricing/security setup/Corporate action)
+ People management experience of over 4 years and overall relevant industry experience of 08 to 12 years
+ Very good knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Access, Word & Power Point)
+ Possessing certifications in advance excel skills will be an added advantage
+ MultiFonds and Invest One knowledge is an asset.
+ Working knowledge of pricing vendors (Bloomberg, Telekurs, IDC and Reuters) would be an advantage
+ CFA program viewed favourably
**Additional Desirable Qualifications**
+ Crisis management Requires the ability to handle multiple problems and make quick decisions under pressure in order to meet pricing deadlines for reporting funds net asset values(NAV). This would entail dealing with various external and internal personnel to resolve problems.
+ Work with Fund Accountant, Trade controller and Compliance to resolve complex pricing issues.
+ Work with Investment Accounting, Global Financial Reporting, Corporate Actions and Settlements areas to ensure accurate accounting information is maintained in all systems.
