**Job Description Summary**

Responsible for designing, building, delivering and maintaining application software for Grid Automation in GE Renewable Energy Team.

Candidate will be working on the development of Windows based Gateway application using Visual C++ and Win32 SDK / MFC libraries in Windows OS environment.

**Roles and Responsibilities**



+ Contribute to fixing bugs uncovered during lab testing as well as field failures

+ Contribute to feature enhancements

+ Must have worked and be conversant with Agile Methodologies

+ Responsible for technical approaches for the sprints

+ Develop high quality code adhering to standard design patterns

+ Strong and Adaptive team player



**Technical Expertise**



+ Expert in developing Windows based applications (unmanaged) using

+ Visual C++ with MFC and Win32 SDK

+ Multithreaded programming using MFC / Win SDK

+ Network programming using MFC / Win SDK

+ Strong knowledge of industry standard protocols like DNP, Modbus & IEC 61850,



IEC T101 & T104



+ Ability to debug large windows based applications (unmanaged).



**Education Qualification**



+ Bachelors Degree in an Engineering or Computer Science discipline or equivalent

+ Preferably 7+ years of experience as a Windows based applications developer.



**Desired Characteristics**



+ Experience in working with IEC 61850/DNP/Modbus IEC T101, T104 protocols is a big plus

+ Experience in using packet sniffers like Wireshark and analysing network traffic.
