What is Process Innovation?
From eCommerce to Mobile Devices & Home Appliances, Process Innovation (PI) delivers results to all divisions within Samsung Electronics America. As a strategic project management organization, PI leads business units in analyzing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions and systems. Broad reach and influence within the company makes PI an ideal organization for understanding the consumer electronics and telecom industry from the inside out. Who is the ideal candidate for Manager in Process Innovation?
You are a strategic project manager who is passionate about using data driven methods for solving complex problems. Interaction with subject matter experts and senior management to understand situations and develop solutions consistent with our business strategies is a critical component for success. Additionally, the ideal candidate consistently searches for ways to enhance leaderships vision by designing tools and systems to assist in the decision making process. You strive for excellence in all aspects, setting the bar as a role model for the rest of the company.
Position Summary
Lead process innovation through project management and execution to achieve strategic goals and operational excellence. Through extensive interaction with senior management and subject matter experts, identify root causes to problems and use data driven approaches to develop and implement new business processes and solutions. PIs role encompasses all projects from top management based on the company needs and should go above and beyond assigned responsibility to achieve success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead company-wide system implementation and business process improvement projects through evaluation of current work processes and execution of improvement strategies
Evaluate business needs and initiate quantitative and qualitative analysis to support project proposal or evaluation results
Facilitate business requirement gathering and manage comprehensive project documentation
Develop processes to efficiently manage, monitor, and track project deliverables, budget, and expenses
Lead project teams to define and manage project scope and provide timely updates to all stakeholders
Manage relationships and expectations of both internal and external stakeholders
Lead project team meetings to communicate project status including budget and expense
Simulate overall budget and financial impact
Perform data analysis working independently or with cross functional teams
Prepare materials in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point to be presented within and outside of PI team
No limitation to the scope and services PI provides to the company in its efforts to implement best-in-class systems and processes
Skills and Qualifications
Masters degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field preferred. Minimum, Bachelors degree in the above related fields
8~14years of experience in the job offered or similar related field including but not limited to consulting or finance

You have project and program management skills with several years of experience initiating activities, setting priorities, managing multiple priorities and delivering on-time results
You enjoy learning new business processes quickly and efficiently as well as championing project requirements on behalf of business owners
You are a strategic thinker and problem solver with the ability to transform goals into actionable plans that you will drive end-to-end
You work independently as well as in a team environment to achieve team goals and complete assignments within established deadlines
You have the ability to quickly learn and understand new topics, businesses, and processes through research and interviews with subject matter experts
You have experience working with stakeholders at all levels including senior management
You have experience leading cross-functional subject matter experts to meet deliverables and milestones
You have the ability to cultivate strong collaborative working relationships and contacts within a work group, across other company functions and with external organizations
You have proven ability to influence others and drive meaningful change results
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially pertaining to sales, operations, logistics, system, and financial functions
You enjoy public speaking and can effectively communicate project objectives and outcomes to all levels
You aspire to be a team leader, with the ability to train and mentor junior employees
You are eager to learn and grow but also help others do the same
You are a detail-oriented person with strong leadership experience and are willing to take on a challenge
You are organized and pay close attention to detail
You have experience working with or implementing best-in-class systems and processes
Willing to travel up to 15% of your time, including to regional SEA offices and HQ (Korea)
