Primary Purpose:

Work within EW Scripps National ad operations team to help direct a center of technological expertise for the execution of connected TV & digital advertising integrations. Assists in directing a streamlined and efficient process to support the direct sales and programmatic effort on the demand side of the business.

What you will do:

Work with internal stakeholders and external clients for technical implementation/launch, support issues, and training for all national EW Scripps OTT apps, as well as audience extension product.

Research and implement system technology updates and features; act as subject matter expert and provide training for internal Scripps staff.

Provide hands-on assistance with any escalations as they pertain to ad tech implementation, programmatic ad delivery and troubleshooting, ad tagging, third party ad integrations, inventory and/or campaigns delivery discrepancies; all with a focus on CTV/OTT.

Troubleshoot and fix ad breakdowns on Scripps National websites, mobile apps and connected TV apps.

Foster an environment of innovation to explore new technologies and potential external partnerships that will help enhance online, mobile and OTT advertising capabilities in order to drive business and increase revenue opportunities.

Oversee integration of our ad server (GAM) into all CTV/OTT streaming products.

Analyzes trends and optimizes inventory to maximize revenue growth on our CTV/OTT apps.

Conducts periodic evaluation of advertising programs, identifies new opportunities, and presents recommendations for growth (i.e. new technologies, improved optimization, ad placement audits, etc.).

Define and review ad testing methodologies and ad specs.

Improve overall ad QA process using new tools and automated processes.

Partner with external ad vendors and production ad servers to test creative execution.

Research the latest ad technology trends, i.e. app-ads.txt, sellers.json, supply chain object, CCPA, etc.

Work with design/development teams for ad hoc QA consulting.

Work to help optimize revenue opportunities for Newsy OTT app on various streaming devices (Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, all OEM Smart TV apps, FAST services, etc.).

Assist in management of OTT Header Bidding integrations.

What you will bring:

Hands-on on experience with Connected TV device ad technology including but limited to JSON, XML.

Knowledge of GIT, HTML5, JavaScript, Roku Ad Framework, Datadog, SSAI vendors (such as Verizon Uplynk/VDMS/Edgecast, Media Tailor, etc) or similar a Plus.

Ability to reprioritize quickly based on changing priorities and business needs.

Adapt well to constantly changing environments.

Demonstrate the ability to be proactive and resourceful, with meticulous attention to detail.

Demonstrate the ability to successfully multi-task.

Think creatively.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Fundamental understanding of cable and OTT media preferred.

Education & Experience:

Bachelors degree in related field preferred.

5-7+ years experience with CTV ad technology preferred.

5-7+ years experience working with a variety of ad serving systems and SSPs, including but not limited to Google Ad Manager, Magnite/Telaria, SpotX, Publica, SpringServe, etc.

Work Environment:

Typical office environment.

Minimal travel required.

Nights, weekends, and/or holidays may be required.
