Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works division is seeking **Associate Electrical/Avionics Equipment Installation Design Engineers (P2),** for advanced air vehicle proprietary programs located at our **St. Louis, MO** site.


These designers will develop integration layouts and installation engineering for electrical/avionics equipment, propulsion, secondary power and fire protection systems using Siemens NX 3-D Computer Aided Design and Teamcenter Visualization tools. The designer will design and release equipment shelves, supports, miscellaneous hardware and equipment installation engineering. The designer will utilize Teamcenter as a master database and configuration control method along with other electronic tools to maintain an accounting of the Size, Weight, Power and Cooling (SWaPC) for new and evolving designs of equipment installations.


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location


**Position Responsibilities:**


+ Performs detail design development, design and modification of electronic equipment installations using Siemens NX 3D model based engineering tools

+ Performs spatial integration at system or component level of avionics, electrical power systems, propulsion, secondary power and fire protection systems

+ Assists in preparing technical documents and specifications for electrical/fluid/mechanical components and systems.

+ Supports analysis and design reviews.

+ Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests).

+ Follows documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.

+ Supports the development of statements of work.

+ Works under close mentorship.


**This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.**


**The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.**

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**


+ Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

+ The candidate should have at least 2 years of experience and proficiency using 3D/CAD modeling tools for platform electrical/avionic equipment installations


**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**


+ Experience with Siemens NX 3D modeling tools

+ Experience using product data management (PDM) tools such as Teamcenter


**Typical Education/Experience:**


Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
