Principal Data Generation Manager - Autonomous Driving

We are looking for a creative and dedicated person to join our Data Generation group. You will work across many teams from Drive Ops and Data Ops to AI (Artificial Intelligence) and computer vision developers to enhance the value of the data that enables the creation and optimization of the NVIDIA autonomous driving software. Our true motivation and measure of success is building innovative solutions that achieve widespread use in the world.

What you will be doing:


  • In collaboration with the development teams, define the target distribution for each data use case.

  • Optimize the data requirements for maximum operational efficiency and data reuse.

  • Fine-tune the data value metrics that we track. Identify tooling gaps and dispatch for resolution.

  • Lead the long-term data release road map and align it with short-term goals.

  • Communicate status and key issues to the collaborators and to management.


What we need to see:


  • Master's degree in engineering or higher (or equivalent experience).

  • 15+ years of product experience in the software, artificial intelligence, or robotics industry.

  • Experience with leading and delivering large cross-organization projects.

  • Having lived the life of a software engineer and understanding the pressures they are under, allowing you to lead them more effectively in projects as well as process.


Ways to stand out from the crowd:


  • Having held positions with engineering leadership.

  • Experience with safety certification.

  • Automotive background.

  • Relevant domain knowledge (Perception and/or ML experience).


Location: Holmdel, New Jersey, US or Santa Clara, California, US
