KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide input and insight to potential safety issues; identify and eliminate hazards
Provide insight and information about production practices that preserve and improve product quality and process control
Responsible for leading, coordinating and training all production team members assigned to the operating stations
Ability to perform all required job tasks of production operator team members and responsible for performing those tasks when needed
Responsible for communicating all required repairs to maintenance team and leading all autonomous maintenance activities
Enforce and encourage compliance with company policies
Educate and empower personnel to make decisions that affect company success
Types of required decisions to be made are: how to conduct repairs, corrections and or enhancements to equipment set ups, and assign, prioritize and provide a list of tasks to be performed throughout the shift or during down time, monitor equipment
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:
Demonstrated success at leading a team in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of pipe making process a plus
Demonstrated problem solving skills, continuous improvement principles and methodologies and 5S
Working knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel and other computer skills
Contribute to a positive team spirit
Complete job duties and assignments correctly and on time
Must be willing to assist in all areas as necessary
Preferred: Heavy industry previous supervisory experience
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Required to have candidates with NDT Level 1 or 2 certification in different methods: Ultrasound Testing (UT), Electromagnetic Inspection (EMI) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI).
Preferred: 2 years Associates degree; will consider equivalent industry training
Would PREFER to have candidates with some Engineering background and/or Technician certification
