The Manager of Technical Sales will be responsible for driving Samsungs network products and solutions for the customer network account nationwide. This is a direct customer facing TECHNICAL ACCOUNT MANAGER role specifically for Wireless technology, and you will be instrumental in driving technical discussions for our customers LTE and 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) in critical markets. In partnership with Samsungs network sales team, you will work to identify technical needs so that technical solutions can be developed and positioned to drive sales revenue targets. You will be relied upon as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for macro 4G and 5G technology. This encompasses pre-sales, technical design and post-sales support to ensure that technical solution delivery is as per roadmap.


Role and Responsibilities


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports business meetings initiated by Samsungs customer Account Sales team to increase existing sales and introduce new products.

  • Provides expert technical support in the pre-sales process and creates compelling technical and commercial solutions.

  • Support in translating and communicating complex technical design considerations between the Samsung sales team and customers network business (sales calls, joint network design discussions, etc.)

  • Support technical Q&A for Samsungs 4G & 5G RAN macro solution and software features.

  • Develops deep relationships within customers network business at working levels of the technical organization and nationwide market; Establish/maintain trust and rapport as the SME for technical network solutions. Support creation of proposals based on new and existing contractual agreements.

  • Educate our network customers on Samsungs new products and services both individually and in a team environment.

  • Strive to ensures that customer commitments are achieved according to plan.

  • Works with Samsung marketing and engineering teams for product development plans, schedules, and product introductions

  • Works closely with various support organizations, logistics, and cross- functional teams from SEA and Samsung HQ to achieve successful new product roll-outs and developments.

Skills and Qualifications


Background/Experience required:

Bachelors degree in Engineering required; Masters degree preferred (advanced engineering + MBA).

2 to 5 years of experience within the Wireless/Networks technology industry (Radio / RF engineering, 5G Design, Wireless Network design, RF Planning, etc.). Hands-on experience with Radio; understanding of end-to-end network.

Knowledge of 3GPP Releases including current and future technologies, features, use-cases desired.

Knowledge of virtualized Open RAN architecture and interworking of 4G and 5G technologies is a bonus. Knowledge of NSA and SA network architectural requirement is a bonus.

1+ years of experience hands-on experience with Radio/RF planning and working with LTE in a hands-on capacity or consultative design capacity.

1+ years of experience in a customer-facing role. Must possess the ability to analyze, interpret, and present (including presentation creation) wireless systems technical products and development materials to both internal and external stakeholders.

Must possess the ability to thrive in a highly dynamic cross-functional environment (partnership across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Global HQ, etc.) and navigate a complex customer stakeholders and business unit;

Interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate an organization and manage-via-influence is just as paramount as the technical ability.

Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions: The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be skilled in developing and maintaining good working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company

Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal more than 75% of work time in an office work environment

Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule

Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical and include time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and project management stress.

Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include PCs, printers, etc. most often associated with office work area equipment

Travel to customer locations, trade shows, etc. approximately 20% of time
