The Manager of Technical Sales will be responsible for driving Samsungs network products and solutions for the customer network account nationwide. This is a direct customer facing Technical Account Manager Role specifically for Wireless technology. You will be instrumental in driving technical discussions for our customers virtualized RAN CaaS/PaaS in critical markets. In partnership with Samsungs network sales team, you will work to identify technical and product requirements so that Samsung products and solutions can be developed and positioned to drive sales. You will be relied upon as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for cloud-native virtualized solutions and as a point of contact for all the partners in eco-system. This encompasses pre-sales, technical design and post-sales support to ensure that technical solution delivery is as per roadmap.


Role and Responsibilities


  • Support business meetings initiated by Samsungs customer Account Sales Leadership to increase existing sales and introduce new products.

  • Provide expert technical support in the pre-sales process and creates compelling technical and commercial solutions in order to help achieve the assigned sales goals and business objectives.

  • Translate and communicate complex technical design considerations between the Samsung sales team and customers network business (sales calls, joint network design discussions, etc.)

  • Take lead on technical Q&A for Samsungs virtualized RAN solutions cloud native features.

  • Develop deep relationships within customers network business at multiple levels of the technical organization and nationwide market; Establish/maintain trust and rapport as the SME for technical network solutions. Create proposals based on new and existing contractual agreements.

  • Educate our network customers on Samsungs new products and services both individually and in a team environment.

  • Ensure that customer commitments are achieved according to plan.

  • Work with Samsung marketing and engineering teams for product development plans, schedules, and product introductions

  • Work closely with various support organizations, logistics, and cross- functional teams from SEA and Samsung HQ to achieve successful new product roll-outs and developments.

  • Subject Matter Expert in driving the technical solutions to customer through complex organizational dynamics

  • Leveraging your ability to communicate effectively with all levels of organization as well as HQ leadership on initiatives


Excellence Dealing with Ambiguity

  • Bringing your experience in problem solving and ability to navigate complex eco-system (industry partners, customer) and Samsung internal group like R&D, solution/services groups.


Skills and Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree in Engineering required; Masters degree preferred (advanced engineering + MBA).

  • Total 7+ total years of experience in virtualization, wireless, embedded systems.

  • 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing role. Must possess the ability to analyze, interpret, and present (including presentation creation) wireless systems technical products and development materials to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Atleast 3+ years of experience in virtualized platforms and architecture.

  • Experience with cloud-native platforms and hands-on experience with on-boarding virtualized applications, CICD, orchestration is required.

  • Experience working in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual and International teams is a plus

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services/VMWare/WindRiver platforms is a plus.

  • Experience with hypervisors and large enterprise cloud systems is a plus.

  • Experience in wireless industry is a plus.

  • Understanding of near real time systems hardware accelerators, time synchronization, capacity analysis

  • Must possess the ability to thrive in a highly dynamic cross-functional environment (partnership across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Global HQ, etc.) and navigate a complex customer stakeholders and business unit;

  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate an organization and manage-via-influence is just as paramount as the technical ability.


Necessary Skills and attributes:

The ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects, sales and simultaneous performance objectives. Work independently in determining ones personal work schedule to be productive. Work in a team environment, in order to achieve personal and team project milestones and to complete assignments within established time frames. Accept tasks and problems/situations that differ, requiring creativity to search for optimal solutions, when only broad and general guidelines exist for solving problems. The ability to utilize implied knowledge of task alternatives and to make spontaneous decisions using past experience and the guidance and/or successful experiences of others. Demonstrated ability to interact at multiple levels within customers organizations. Negotiate with and convince others, in a potentially adversarial environment, including customer directors, managers and staff with opposing views to accept/approve plans, technical and project recommendations. Make professional technical sales presentations in writing, through email, reports, or orally, to an audience of high technical skills, management and operational experience. Ability to achieve results within established time frames and requirements. Develop accurate proposals and designs to meet customer needs.
