Business Transformation & Process Modernization Lead will partner with leaders in the organization to identify, prioritize and execute business simplification projects. The ideal candidate will have experience leading large projects, process improvement and change management. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others.
This individual contributor role, reporting into the COO organization within GRREMO. This individual will have high visibility and partner closely with a variety of stakeholders across the regulatory space. Managing through the exam management and regulatory response lifecycle, this role will ensure GRREMO understands, manages and improves their process to increase quality and efficiency for our stakeholders. This is done by establishing consistent, repeatable processes in line with Policies, standards and stakeholder expectations. Ensuring an end to end design and full integration of all processes with linkage to best practices. This role is accountable for identifying, creating and ensuring adequate controls are in place, that balance risk vs reward.
Works closely with business executives and process owners across the organization.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Apply process improvement mindset through simplifying, transforming and continuously improving GRREMO processes
+ Understand the what, why and how work gets done and translate to process opportunities (efficiency, pain point, cost, resources, non value add, touch points, etc..) through stakeholder interviews and independent research to fully understand current processes and identify gaps
+ Identify process breakdowns and improvements quantified with data and metrics. Identity process breakdowns and improvements quantified with data and metrics Assess process maturity /capability and set targets
+ Prioritize and plan portfolio of IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES across the businesses, in collaboration with senior leadership, reengineering partners, and corporate support if/when applicable; includes development of reengineering project funnel & individual project scoping.
+ Responsible for leading & managing dynamics of cross functional & business wide process improvement reengineering initiatives
+ Secures initiatives/project sponsorship from senior leadership, and facilitates resolution of differences between various sponsors, and stakeholders, over prioritization and timely execution of reengineering initiatives; effectively promotes the need for reengineering and persuades senior leadership around agreement and support of required change.
+ Integrate reengineering approach and methodology, as an enabler to the successful execution of the organization's business strategy. Instill a continuous improvement mindset within and across GRREMO leadership
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
**Qualifications:**
+ 10+ years of Process Re-Engineering or Improvement Experience
+ Expertise in process design and process improvement is a must. Regulatory, Compliance, Banking background preferred
+ Expert in value stream mapping, root cause analysis, change management and project management.
+ Experience presenting to and counseling executives.
+ Technical expert and known internally and externally as reliable, knowledgeable resources.
+ Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
+ Broad and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of regulatory banking operations
+ Ability to rationalize and work through organizational change. Proven track record in terms of evaluating process performance across key metrics and envisioning ways to reengineer the process to create significant improvement across all key variables.
+ Ability to influence and engage in a consultative mode with various senior stakeholders across business, operations, technology and compliance to define the strategic scope, a problem solving approach and engage a team that effectively will lead the reengineering process to achieve the envisioned results.
+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred.
