The following position is open in Chicago, IL - Senior Analyst - Regional Commercial Analytics

Play a key role in regional commercial reporting, business analytics, and consumption forecasting within one or more of the US Beam Suntory geographical business units
Partner with a broad cross-functional team to drive clear insights and actionable business recommendations enabling regional and state revenue, profit, and share growth
Gain valuable commercial experience via daily engagement with critical business functions (Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain) and senior leadership
Be a critical part of the functional center of excellence: learning, implementing, and driving adoption of best-in-class processes, methodologies, and systems
Ability to identify, create, and drive business opportunity
Role Responsibilities
Become a leader in data visualization to deliver a clear message and action to key stakeholders
Identify sales and KPI drivers, enabling data-based prioritization/investment decisions
Partner with sales, finance, and marketing leadership to build data-driven commercial plans
Support internal and external business reviews against KPI's with analysis focused on "WHY" and "NOW WHAT" to enable the business to make smart decisions on where to prioritize investments/resources
Partner with Commercial Analytics Management to develop tools and resources to highlight successes and opportunities across programming, distribution, pricing, etc.
Assist Commercial Analytics Manager to develop and present business recommendations based on performing ad hoc analyses for strategic priorities
Develop opportunity recommendations based on market analysis and ROI
Share and re-apply best-in-class analytics and forecasting methodologies across business
Deliver succinct, action oriented and customer-ready business deliverables that inspire action

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 2 years of sales, marketing, and/or financial analysis experience
Commercial experience within the consumer products sector, preferably in one of the following industries: Spirits, Beer, Wine, Beverages, or Food
Ability to extract, manipulate, mine, and analyze sales, share, and spending data to develop actionable insights
Experience integrating competitive, consumer, and market insights into business recommendations
Ability to quickly come up to speed with new applications, systems, and data types
Intermediate/advanced Excel skills, familiarity with Nielsen, IRI and/or other retail measurement data and basic knowledge of Tableau
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or Finance
Strong team player, problem solver, self-starter, highly adaptable with excellent communication skills, and the ability to positively interact with cross-functional teams
