**Job Description:**
Position Summary
The role of the development lead/manager is to drive out the development of java and python based massive parallel processing and distributed processing solutions with scalability of tens of billions of records/day. The position will involve overseeing and providing expert guidance for the development of inter process communication including peer-peer across a multi-server/platform environment stitching together REST API calls with IPC based executions on multiple servers. The position will include leading the development of in house load balancer engines for different processes, KAFKA producers and consumers to execute in an automated manner via the messaging platforms, file watcher programs triggering automated execution of processes and integration with existing tools/frameworks.

The candidate is expected to have a proven track record of building scalable solutions across various industry domains with a primary focus on data protection which includes discovery of sensitive/confidential data across both structured and unstructured data sources and supporting multiple platforms like RDBMS, Mainframe, Quartz/Sandra DB, files including text, pdf, word, excel and OCR based solutions for text extraction.
+ 7+ years leading development teams
+ Must have ability to drive and lead projects.
+ 3+ yrs. experience as a development manager managing critical business deliveries on distributed technologies
+ 5+ yrs. development experience of core Java including collections, JDBC, multi-threading and at least once IPC methodology - sockets, GRPC etc.
+ 3+ yrs. development experience in building REST API services using SpringBoot or other equivalent packages.
+ 2+ yrs. Development Experience in PYTHON development and able to debug any issues.
+ 2+ yrs. development experience in process automation using messaging platforms like KAFKA.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to influence stake holders decision process.
+ Experience in Unix shell scripting is mandatory
+ Arrive at and adherence to ETAs is a critical requirement.
+ Experience in operating within an AGILE environment is a must.
Desired Skills
Sound understanding and experience with Hadoop ecosystem (Cloudera).
Additional Technical Skills Desired: Spark/Hadoop
Able to understand and explore the constantly evolving tools within Hadoop ecosystem and apply them appropriately to the relevant problems at hand.
Experience in working with a Big Data implementation.
Support multiple projects with competing deadlines
