The Team
Our highly respected Corporate Transformation Services (CTS) team is built on deep industry sector expertise with an ability to address the most complex business problems and deliver decisive and sustainable performance improvement. We focus on enterprise wide transformation to drive EBITDA and/or cash improvement in many different situations including where an activist investor is looking for accelerated results, or where a company is looking to sustainably improve their earnings and profitability. We help our clients navigate complex merger integrations and carve-outs and work for corporations across several industries including Retail, Consumer Products, Industrials, Manufacturing, Media, Hospitality, and Pharmaceuticals. We pride ourselves on combining solutions and hands-on implementation to preserve and generate value through practical involvement, including taking interim roles in our clients' operations and transactions.
The Role
Our pan European CTS team continues to grow. We are increasing the team in Paris at Senior Director level to enhance our highly experienced senior management team. We are seeking a talented, ambitious, experienced and entrepreneurial operational restructuring practitioner who can support our growth on the French market. Typically, the successful appointee will have a good mix of a range of the following and equally important soft skills:
must have extensive knowledge of delivering Turnaround and Restructuring Advisory Services (ideally in a client-site focused delivery model) in a top tier strategy firm, leading specialist and/or niche advisory firm or 'Big 4' consultancy;
strong French market knowlegde and strong ability to develop the market;
proven track record in operational restructuring including the optimisation of different aspects of a business, on the French market
proven expertise in Turnaround and Restructuring gained in a major advisory firm - the blend of industry and professional services experience is essential for success in this role
experience reviewing performance figures and analysing data to develop fact-based analysis to examine the root cause of problems
experience in Turnaround Management, developing and implementing performance improvement solutions to solve under-performance on both cost and revenue lines
the ability to conduct an initial rapid diagnostic into the company's immediate and future cash needs, product profitability, cost base, major operational issues, market position and options for restructuring
excellent negotiating skills, ideally gained in an operational restructuring environment, whether in the context of commercial / supplier agreements, closure of an entity/divestment of assets, negotiating with banks, or dealing with management teams or trade unions
As Senior Director, you will be recognised by the client as the lead for value contributed on engagements and therefore build his/her own credible network of contacts and referral sources with clients, professionals and institutions.
