About The Role
The Senior Director, Marketing & Insights oversees both the Marketing and Insight components of our offering. You are responsible for developing custom ideas, performance-driven tactics, and enabling our Marketing, Sales, Executive, and Operational teams to deliver strategic insights and recommendations to our clients and business partners. You will work with our Creative, Product, Publisher, and Operations teams to ensure that were developing highly integrated solutions that can be successfully executed across our broad portfolio of sites. You will consult the resources we use to understand consumer behavior and sentiment, and bring that customer intel into our marketplace positioning. This is a critical role that will make a significant impact on the organization by supporting and shaping our go-to-market strategy, product development and measurement, and positioning around key segments of the automotive industry.
The ideal candidate has a true passion for identifying strategic growth opportunities by understanding clients, consumers, and the marketplace, and then turning those ideas into revenue. This person should be highly motivated and enjoy working across various teams and a diverse set of projects. Success in this role requires expertise in the automotive industry, as well as extensive experience in digital media and ad tech.You must be equal parts strategist and do-er with a proven track record in the following areas:

As the Senior Director of Marketing & Insights, you will be at the epicenter of brand, product, audience, and revenue and will be accountable for challenging the business to think aboutand plan for any shifts in media consumption, marketing, technology, measurement, and consumer behavior.
Responsibilities:
Provide strong vision and guidance to your team while developing a culture of commitment to deliver top-notch marketing solutions that drive strong results and impact
Be the go-to marketing and analytical partner for Sales and broader operational teams
Assist with quarterly and yearly strategic reporting and planning processes, including preparation around in-market upfronts and other key periods for the auto industry
Project manage larger marketing, and research initiatives and coordinate across all stakeholders to ensure the execution, communication, and resources are in place to deliver on the project
Identify and anticipate trends and develop solutions to optimize team workflows and to improve efficiency.
Outline questions and map out gaps in insight capabilities; work with Publisher, Product, and Engineering teams to develop plans to solve for said gaps.
Provide people management, mentorship, and career development to members of the Marketing and Insights teams.
Qualifications:
10+ years experience in Marketing, Media, and Analytics in a digital media organization with fluency around ad platforms and solutions
Automotive marketing experience (publisher, agency, or client side), but publisher-side preferred
A love of storytelling and a strong degree of comfort digging into data, research, and analytics
Ability to translate the complex into the understandable by highlighting and explaining themes
in a clear and concise manner
Working knowledge of market research development in a marketing and / or media business
Understanding of digital reporting platforms (syndicated and first-party) and familiarity with data visualization programs (Tableau, Looker, Domo, Google Data Studio)
Stellar experience building presentations: PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Keynote
Experience with marketing automation (HubSpot, Pardot, Marketo) and CRM tools a plus
Senior level management experience leading in a fast-paced, and results-driven environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to comfortably present to large groups
Proven track record of generating strategic solutions for business needs
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Ability to travel occasionally for work
Bachelors Degree or MBA in business, marketing (incl. market research or statistics), communications, or a related field
Experience leading a marketing or consumer insights team in a digital media, and / or automotive marketing business
