**Boeing Brazil** is seeking **Senior Electrical Installation Design Engineer** , reporting to the Electrical Design & Installation Manager of Boeing Brazil, working out of the **So Jose Dos Campos, Brazil** office.


The **Senior Electrical Installation Design Engineer** will work with the Boeing Global Services engineering teams to support the certification of large aircraft modifications to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements and procedures defined in the companys Design Organization Handbook (DOH).

**Position Responsibilities:**


+ Leads, develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.

+ Identify engineering requirements and solutions for active and upcoming aircraft cabin flight deck and cabin interior projects.

+ Lead certification activities to ensure compliance with design requirements, and be a technical focal for certification and design/integration issues relating to electrical/avionic equipment and systems changes as part of large aircraft modification programs.

+ Develops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas).

+ Documents processes, specifications and procedures for continued airworthiness including wiring diagrams, routing installation drawings, harness fabrication drawings, Service Bulletins, aircraft and component manual supplements, system schematic manuals and EWIS assessments.

+ Compile certification documents to demonstrate compliance with relevant electrical systems related airworthiness requirements.

+ Participates in technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.

+ Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design.

+ Provides on-site support to assist the customers during the embodiment phase of the project.

+ Availability to occasional national and/or international travel to visit customers and subcontractors.


**This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.**

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**


+ In-depth experience with wire harness, electrical and/or mechanical design

+ Strong experience on aircraft interior reconfiguration programs and aircraft electrical/avionics systems

+ Bachelor degree or higher from an accredited course of study in Electrical/Electronic or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering.

+ Proficient in both written and verbal English

+ Must be legally able to work in Brazil.


**Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):**


+ Experience as EASA Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) with terms of approval relevant to the Electrical Systems (Panel 5) and/or Avionic Systems (Panel 6) disciplines.

+ Experience on EASA regulatory and airworthiness requirements including (E)TSO, CS-25, JAR-25 and FAR-25 requirements (relevant to the electrical/avionics discipline).

+ Strong experience of EASA Part 21J Design Organization (or equivalent).

+ Experience on aircraft interior modification programs, reviewing design packages with a high emphasis on electrical systems including in-flight entertainment, connectivity, cabin and emergency lighting and changes related to the introduction of new electrical or electronic equipment.

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
