**Summary**
The Disney Streaming, Business Operations - Executive Reporting team is a highly dynamic group, focusing on analyzing and decomposing business performance drivers to derive deeper insights and drive growth opportunities across Disney+, Star+, ESPN+, and Hulu. We are a nimble and agile team that works cross-functionally across multiple Analytics verticals (Subscriber, Engagement, Content), Content Programming, Finance, Marketing, and regional teams to aggregate performance KPIs on high-priority initiatives, titles, and launches, as well as conduct and synthesize analyses to drive key decisions. The role of Sr. Manager, Business Intelligence is an exciting opportunity to "be in the room where it happens," by providing ad hoc analyses, data-driven executive decision support, and weekly digests / reports for senior Disney Streaming (DS) and Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED)
This role will get to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with senior finance, data, and other functional leads across Disney Streaming and the broader Walt Disney Company to develop comprehensive analyses-driven materials that drive key business decisions regarding the future of the business and products. The work will directly support Disney Streaming President, service Presidents, segment Chairman and Executive VPs in the management of the direct-to-consumer streaming businesses.
We are looking for a strong analytical leader interested in driving and translating non-routine, complex data requests and articulating insights to solve key business problems and articulate performance and impact of contributing drivers. In addition to technical and analytical acumen (working with KPIs, investigating data trends, etc), the Executive Reporting and Intelligence team requires strong forensic problem-solving capability, attention to capturing details across multiple teams and data sets, collaboration skills, and stakeholder management. While data analysis is the backbone of this position, the role also requires strength in written, verbal, and visual communication and a proactive, operational mindset. The ideal candidate is resourceful and endlessly curious and has strong editorial judgment and the ability to shift easily between the macro and the micro.
**Responsibilities**
+ Be on the ground floor of business / product decision-making by responding to direct and urgent executive analysis requests - providing concise syntheses of data and insights for Disney Streaming and DMED segment leadership
+ Manage relationships with internal stakeholders across finance, analytics, content, marketing, commerce, and product teams to stay on leading edge of the business- planned activities, forecasts, KPIs, and business performance
+ Derive business intelligence from voluminous and disparate data sources
+ Draft executive memos and reports with authority, business purpose, and data-driven narrative, with deep understanding of our business models and outcomes
+ Grow and coach a team of business analysts to ask new questions about business performance, drive for insightful answers, and explain complex situations clearly and simply with exec-friendly prose and visualizations
+ Support business intelligence and reporting at scale by designing frameworks, processes, and analytics products requirements to enable speed, consistency, and depth of data reporting and iterative insights
+ Be a trusted steward of business mission and performance narrative
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ 7-9 years analytical experience in a strategy or business operations role
+ 3+ years direct management experience
+ 3-5 years of SQL
+ BA or BS in a quantitative field is desired
+ Building and managing a team and operation for scale
+ Producing written and presentation materials for a senior executive audience
+ High familiarity with data platforms and applications such as Databricks, Snowflake
+ High familiarity with data exploration and data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker
+ Excel at reading data, absorbing large volume and frequent changes to qualitative and quantitative information
+ Ability to translate data into a compelling narrative that concludes with set of results and recommendations - in executive memo, report, and presentation form
+ Superlative written, verbal and analytical skills; deck design skills are key
+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly iterative environmentAbility to manage multiple workstreams with demonstrated ability to organize and schedule work effectively
