Position Summary:


Systems Engineers are involved in all stages of product lifecycle from initial capture of the customer requirements through development and finally, deployment to the customer. We are currently looking for aSenior Systems Engineer with focus on cybersecurityto join our team. TheSenior Systems Engineer is part of the Systems Engineering team and will report directly to the Director of Systems Engineering. The ideal candidate has a strong background in systems engineering concepts with general working knowledge of cybersecurity rules, concepts and tools. Candidate must demonstrate strong Systems Engineering knowledge, best practices and industry standards and be willing to be trained in various aspects of product cyber security.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Write and decompose system requirements and define the best method for verification

  • Troubleshoot the system and provide suggestions or solutions

  • Provide system analysis as pertain to security

  • Break down complex problems into smaller portions for simplicity and analysis

  • Influence and reach consensus with cross functional team and stakeholders

  • Be interested and willing to build technical expertise in Cybersecurity domain as applicable to the System


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or computer science

  • Minimum 4-6 years of Systems Engineering experience

  • Software development design experience

  • Proficient in the use of Jira and other issue tracking software

  • Proficient in the use of Jama for requirement management or other requirement management tools

  • Knowledge of Networking

  • Self-motivated, critical thinker with strong curiosity to learn

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent technical presentation skills

  • Minimal knowledge of Cybersecurity rules and concepts and be willing to expand the base (i.e: penetration testing certificate)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Engineering

  • 4+ years of relevant experience

  • Knowledgeable with communication systems, networking, and web applications

  • Experience with command line Linux

  • Familiar with ARINC standards applicable to IFE and Airborne SATCOM Systems.

  • Working Knowledge of software security tools such as Black Duck or Coverity.

  • Experience in the avionics industry

  • Experience in planning, conducting and analyzing system level penetration testing.
