We Are Hiring Looking to make a impact on others in the community? Join our Ascension SE Michigan team as a Shuttle Driver. This position offers flexibility with scheduling . You work PRN (as needed) and set your schedule/hours. Hours of operation: - M-F, 7am-4pm. Start your day at either or St. John, Detroit location or Oakland-Macomb, Madison Heights hub. Shuttles Driver stay within a 10 mile radius of hub. What You Will Do Transport people from site while maintaining the assigned schedule. Operate vehicle in a safe manner. Inform supervisor of any unusual situations or accidents immediately. Assist riders entering and exiting the vehicle. Comply with all traffic safety rules and regulations. Assist the department supervisor with the daily activities of the Transportation department. Inspect and maintain vehicle daily for cleaning and safety issues. Maintain accurate logs per required standards. Follow established schedules, adjust schedules to meet unanticipated changes, and determine safest and most efficient pickup and delivery routes. Drive specially equipped van to deliver physically limited persons to various destinations; assure that wheelchair lifts and tie down equipment are properly operated and that riders are delivered to appointments in a timely manner. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: One or more of the following required: Chauffeur obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Drivers License credentialed from the Michigan Bureau of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: High school diploma or GED required. Additional Preferences 10 yrs driving experience. No accidents. No points. Personable and friendly demeanor.
