The Software Engineering Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.

**Qualifications:**
+ 6-10 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
+ 5+ years of experience leading end to end development-deployment of micro services
+ Managerial experience
+ Well versed in Java, J2EE development, Spring f/w and related spring technologies, Spring boot, spring cloud and other cloud native frameworks
+ Experience in designing and building micro services adhering to domain driven design concepts
+ Experience with various database and data grid technologies RDBMS, noSQL (MongoDB). Oracle performance optimizations and best practices is must.
+ Excellent knowledge of industry standard interface architectures (REST, SOAP etc) and protocols (HTTP, JMS, AMQP, MQ etc)
+ Hands-on experience in using Kubernetes/Docker running apps Kubernetes solution like OSE, EKS, GKE etc. Experience using Cloud Foundry will be a plus
+ Experience in architecting and developing 12/15 Factor Apps
+ Exposure to continuous integration and continuous deployment processes and tools (Jenkins, RLM, Harness etc)
+ Exposure to using various unit testing, integration testing and functional testing tools (Junit, Selenium, JMeter, Pactflow etc)
+ Knowledge of security best practices for building internet/intranet based web/mobile applications
+ Experience in emerging cloud native patterns like reactive programming, event driven programming, function services etc
+ Polyglot programming experience Java, nodeJS, Python is a plus
+ Experience in leading team of micro service developers
+ Experience developing in micro services that would process millions of requests in real time and batch
+ Stakeholder and people management experience
+ Demonstrated leadership skills
+ Proven project management skills
+ Knowledge of financial industry practices and standards
+ Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
+ Experience in Open Banking API design and development is a plus.
