The Specialist, Technical Business Management Office is responsible for supporting the end to end contract management functions within Global Technology EDT and USIR. This includes developing governance, providing leadership, coordination, and delivery of contract management outcomes. Responsible for working with senior and extended IT leadership supporting the contract management and resourcing functions. Functions within TBMO that this person may be exposed to or responsible for are Demand Management, IT Vendor Management, Resource Capacity and Workforce Management, SWS, IT Finance, Technology Procurement, Technology Law, Strategy, and Planning. Focus of the role is on day to day operational execution and will also include contributing to strategic planning.


Areas of Responsibility

Activities and due diligence performed by Contract Management Team

  • Partners with Technology Teams on needs (new or renewals)

  • Ensures other Global Technology areas are involved in the due diligence when necessary (ie Risk, CDO, CTO) to align with GT strategies

  • Validate finance/budget (with Finance Team)

  • Builds cost model/business case with Technology Teams

  • Input into multiple systems (Demand in-take, Apttus, Procurement-VMS/POs, RequestIt)

  • Manage approvals throughout the multiple tools and processes (Demand, VMS/POs, DocuSign, emails-DAR)

  • Prepare Executive summaries for high $ items for Bob and/or Stacey including Delegation of DAR

  • Provide continuous feedback to partner groups to enable process enhancements and process maturity. (Demand, SWS, and Procurement teams)

  • Develop internal reporting to capture process exceptions, monitor statuses, and facilitate year end activities.

  • SME for contracting process activities, including resolution of not in good order intakes

  • Collaborate with SWS (who negotiates rates) and Procurement (who negotiates contracts and input DocuSigns).

Ensures fixed bid, time & material and managed service contracts are properly approved and executed


Qualifications

5+ years of relevant and progressive experience in contract and project management

Knowledge in in Agile delivery and implementation at scale ie SAFe, preferably in the financial services industry

Bachelors Degree with background in IT preferred

Knowledgeable with tools such as Jira, Jira Align, EPIC, Apttus and/or ServiceNow

Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to translate complex topics into easily digestible messages

Excellent relationship building and collaboration skills with ability to work effectively across the organization and influence a diverse set of stakeholders

Agile and organized, structure-oriented individual with ability to appropriately prioritize and juggle competing deliverables

An overall control-oriented focus to ensure processes and service are compliant and risk averse

Experience negotiating and influencing effectively and tactfully

Experience facilitating functional meetings

Demonstrated track record as a team player and a critical thinker

Fosters an environment to identify opportunities to leverage technology to complete tasks more efficiently and effectively

Ability to apply knowledge of Company objectives, key business drivers and financial acumen to evaluate performance and contribute to efficiencies and strategic decision-making

*Note: Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident. Salary range specific to Colorado: $87,500-$118,300+ discretionary incentive bonus + benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
