Be a part of the leadership team shaping navigation and sensing products of the future. You will lead a team responsible for design and development of advanced alternative navigation systems including vision aided navigation, magnetic aided navigation, and celestial navigation systems in addition to developing new capabilities in LIDAR technology for atmospheric sensing and air data applications. These technologies will support next generation products in a number of key market verticals including commercial, defense, and marine applications. The position will focus on attracting, developing, and retaining top technical talent; partnering with the business to create and execute innovative product line growth strategies; and building an operating system to ensure efficient and effective project and department execution.
This position is for the Sr Engineering Manager of the Advanced Projects and LIDAR team, reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering for Sensing, Guidance, & Navigation.
Primary Responsibilities:
Employee engagement €“ all aspects of people leadership including hiring, expectation setting, coaching, career development and performance management, team building
Program execution - managing cost and schedule, staffing supply and demand management
Product line strategy development and business execution €“ actively participate in product roadmap development, technology transitions, customer engagements, competitive intelligence, and new business proposal generation and approval
Department operations - identify and implement significant improvements to engineering execution speed and efficiency
You must have:
Bachelor€™s Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Material Science
10 years engineering development experience
US Citizen or permanent resident
