Position Overview
The Account Strategy Manager is responsible for conducting research and analysis and developing strategic frameworks to develop go to market and account strategy for Samsungs largest Mobile account in the U.S. Scope of the product portfolio will include Mobile Phones, Tablets, PCs, Wearables and Accessories businesses.
Role and Responsibilities
Development of clear action plans (e.g. GTM playbooks, tactical recommendations) backed by data analysis to drive market share, sales and profitability for the carrier account team.
Requires knowledge and understanding of telecom / electronics industry and quantitative analytics skills to structure the problems and analyze situations objectively
Competitive strategy: collect and analyze intelligence from publically available and proprietary sources to inform and affect mobile account strategy.
Identify and analyze the most critical trends, threats, disrupters and opportunities that mobile carrier account will face, and map out recommendations for how to counter.
TAM and Market Share reporting and forecasting across multiple categories and price segments. Includes scenario planning for proposed promos, initiatives and competitive scenarios.
Collaborate across cross-functional account team leadership to gain alignment on the strategy and oversee/ manage implementation.
Develop presentations to support executive meetings and workshops across all levels of the organization. Support operational and business performance reviews.
Track all executive level workshop Action Items on behalf of the team, capturing updates and reporting out on a regular basis.
Background/Experience Required:
Bachelor's Degree Required; preferably in business, finance or economics; MBA highly desired
12+ years of directly related experience; preferably in management consulting, product management, marketing, business analytics, business planning and strategy development.
Experience in mobile / telecom industry is highly desired

Review detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed.
Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels.
Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometime vaguely defined objectives.
Physical/Mental Demands:
Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between more than 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable work utilizing high visual acuity / detail, numeric / character distinction and moderate hand / finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenges and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include PCs, printers, copiers, faxes and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position.
