VIAVI Solutions is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to lead all facets of the Global Brand and Creative Services team. This remote position directly manages 12 full-time and contractor resources and reports to the VP of VIAVI Global Marketing.
The team supports all VIAVI business functions, but works extensively with 60+ colleagues on the Global Marketing team including Regional & Channel Marketing, Solutions Marketing, Marketing Communications and Programs, and Digital Marketing Operations, Automation and Web, as well as our corporate senior executive team. The functional scope spans VIAVI brand, management of all collateral / marketing assets, corporate marketing support, and an array of other brand-related / creative activities.
Successful candidates should have a proven track record of executive influence, stakeholder management, ability to be both a player and a coach, and have the capacity to balance high-volume output with staunch advocacy for the corporate brand and best practices. This is a very active, hands-on role requiring extreme attention to detail, and an ability to constantly prioritize workflow across the team in support of business priorities and outcomes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Remotely manage (100%) the 12-person creative and brand team comprised of designers, project and asset managers and the translation/localization manager
In collaboration with team and key stakeholders, develop and execute a creative strategy to continuously refine and elevate the VIAVI brand
Ensure team is producing quality, customer-focused, brand-aligned work that is delivered on time and commensurate with the expected ROI of the project / campaign
Manage strategy, approach, and refinement of brand guidelines and visual identity of brand
Materially contribute to the design / make-up / content of key assets such as the literature templates, corporate presentation, corporate brand campaign, and other public-facing corporate initiatives
Guide team to develop brand assets and executions that lead by example
Collaborate with, educate, and hold accountable third-party creative vendors and internal content contributors (quality, brand alignment)
Guide / consult on the execution of a wide range of creative projects including product collateral and templates, sales and marketing communications, UX/UI elements, banner and print ads, posters, infographics, interactive experiences, and video
Collaborate and consult with project requestors to refine requests to yield aligned, high-quality assets that can be leveraged and/or repurposed in the future
Actively look for opportunities to streamline departmental processes to help stakeholders and requestors to work together more effectively and efficiently
Manage Creative Services budget, systems, and personnel according to company guidelines
Manage vendor relationships for vendors supplying contract resources, stock assets, design services, captioning and translation services, and more
Requirements:
A Bachelors Degree or higher in Design or related eld, or significant equivalent professional experience in a complementary field.
8+ years progressive experience managing a creative team / function
5 years of experience managing remote teams
Strong visual, written, and oral communication skills are required.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in B2B technology marketing
Ability to manage and collaborate with people, not just projects this is a high-touch role where its important for the team to work together to stay aligned within a highly siloed wider organization
Understanding of capabilities and best practices around use of modern design and creative project management software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Video and Interactive Platforms etc.)
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated knowledge of brand strategy and proven success in building and managing a brand at a technology company
10+ years involvement (hands-on or managing) with a wide range of marketing executions such as video, motion graphics, print, digital, interactive, Advanced PowerPoint, social ads, UX/UI
Financial budget management required.

Ability to edit (non-technical) copy as required
Ability to effectively work with / push back on requestors with unreasonable demands related to deadlines, resource allocation, and use of misaligned or disallowed images or messaging
