Using customer data, data science, and machine learning, the team supports and creates platform solutions that power omnichannel personalized customer journeys across all customer touchpoints.


About the Job


AT&T Personalization & Decisioning team is looking for an Sr Software Engineer Manager who is passionate about building scalable and performant systems and has analytical and multi-tasking abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As an Sr Software Engineer Manager, you will be responsible for the design and development of various personalization initiatives for AT&Ts customer and employee omnichannel experience across our consumer distribution channels. You will manage and lead the machine learning and data scientists in ideating new models, securing new data insights, and retraining existing ML and RL models. This is a pure DevSecOps agile team. You must possess strong technical background to ensure you are designing for our real time streaming platform, and must have experience leading large cross-organizational software development projects and have a well-rounded technical background in current data science, big data, cloud, web and micro-service technologies.


Responsibilities and Day-to-Day View


Lead the data science, ML training, and deployment of tested and simulated models supporting all of our business use cases.


Design and build scalable infrastructure to collect, process and store very large amounts of data (structured and unstructured), including streaming real-time data.


Drive efforts to architect, design, develop, and implement technology-enabled business and technical information solutions encompassing multiple specializations, platforms, and technologies


Research, analyze and recommend new technologies, rationalization opportunities, standard processes, tools and techniques to further the firms application and enterprise technology architecture strategies. We are dabbling in Quantum Computing


Review business process and technical solution designs to help ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources and integration of multiple systems and technologies


Provide functional and technical leadership to other Lead Engineers, Architects, Data Scientists, and Statisticians.


Enforce company policies in the areas of development methodology, architecture, security, change and configuration management and compliance.


Perform complex engineering activities for performance tuning, monitoring, deployment and production support.


Supervise a team of 20 or more employees along with contractors


Qualifications


Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.


10+ years of experience in working in Engineering or Development roles


5 yrs industry experience with a broad understanding and experience of real-time analytics, NoSQL data stores, machine learning, data modeling and data management, analytical tools, languages, or libraries


8+ years of progressive experience in one or more of the following areas: application delivery; subject matter expertise in building high-volume/high-transaction applications


5+ years of experience with leading and managing teams


5 years data science experience


5 years statistical modeling experience


Experience with Service Oriented Architecture, Continuous Event Processing Platform Architectures, nTier J2EE applications.


Proven ability to translate ideas and vision into product definition and requirements

Apache Flink/Spark, REST services, NoSql technologies (Cassandra/MongoDb), Kafka/MQ/Rabbit, Redis, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Node.js, Python, Azure
