H2M architects + engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting firm in NYC seeks an entry-level Staff Engineer in our Mechanical/HVAC Department. This position will be responsible for the design of HVAC systems for industrial buildings, schools, firehouses and commercial buildings.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and development tasks, including drawings, calculations, cost estimates, and specifications for various large and small scale HVACprojects.

• Assistin performing project administration including gathering information, writing reports, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports.

• Coordination with other engineering and architecture departments within the firm

• Client interaction and teamwork with other disciplines.

• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

• 0-2years of design experience in a consulting environmentwith an emphasis on HVAC projects

• Experience preparing construction specifications and drawings

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• EIT desired

• CPD desired
