Citis Institutional Credit Management (ICM) group is looking for a full-time SVP to join its product development team, in New York.
In line with its focus on risk & controls, Citi has created a new first-line risk function, Institutional Credit Management (ICM).
ICM aims to provide integrated end-to-end credit underwriting, and management of risks for wholesale credit businesses across the enterprise.
Within ICM, the Collateral risk team focuses on monitoring and management of risks relating to collateral posted and received in connection with Cits trading and banking book activities. The group consists of regional collateral risk teams (NAM, EMEA, APAC & LATAM) and a central regulatory and product development team split across NAM & EMEA.
This role will help shape the collateral risk target state across business lines, through engagement with 1st line teams, technology & individual business product teams.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop data subject matter expertise in collateral risk across business flows.
+ Analyse data flows from source, identify gaps and drive solutions across businesses & associated technology, ensuring future-state data is modelled appropriately and aligned to the target operating model.
+ Take a leading role in the definition of the collateral data architecture and the specification of processes used to ensure collateral data quality & governance.
+ Drive the effective operation and continuous improvement of the ICM Collateral teams suite of tools supporting its regional and global functions.
+ Deliver innovative and robust solutions through effective cooperation with project teams and technology, ensuring data is modelled appropriately and satisfies project use cases (including developing business and functional requirements, testing, and implementation plans).
+ Establish working relationships and facilitate communication between teams to expedite the projects data dependencies, escalating concerns as needed, to ensure correct and timely engagement with all relevant programs.
+ Develop and maintain a comprehensive view of all data-related issues, initiatives and remediation activities impacting the firms collateral, where the ICM Collateral team is either the leader or a stakeholder.
+ Represent the ICM Collateral team in all strategic technology initiatives across the bank related to collateral, actively ensuring collateral requirements are effectively addressed to support the goals of the ICM Collateral team and ensure continuous alignment to Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) target data state.
+ Keep abreast of new tools, technology and capabilities both within the firm and with vendors - that could provide benefits in the firms management of collateral or in the teams ability to perform its responsibilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
+ Extensive relevant experience including data analytics, data governance, data modelling, and data warehousing.
+ Extensive experience in collateral management & credit risk data - business analyst role is preferred.
+ Project leadership and coordination of a complex book of work, delivered in partnership with technology & a large stakeholder base. Agile experience is preferred.
+ Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple competing priorities while delivering results quickly and efficiently.
+ Experience with Tableau, QlikView, Cognos or other BI/data visualization tools.
+ Experience with SQL, Excel. Python & r (equivalents) preferred.
+ Experience in ETL and low-code development.
+ Knowledge of and/or experience with Citis infrastructure is preferred.
+ Highly analytical & creative mindset.
+ Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as work in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines with changing priorities.
+ Strong attention to detail, self-motivated and inquisitive.
Education:
Bachelors/University degree, Masters degree preferred.
