Job Description:
We are seeking highly motivated Enterprise Management System engineers to enhance the monitoring of a geographically dispersed, state of the art Enterprise. Candidates will utilize experience with enterprise, application and network monitoring tools to design and deploy solutions that enhance system and service availability and performance. The selected candidate will design, build, deploy, and administer monitoring solutions within multi-domain, multi-OS, and multi-network environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engineer, deploy and configure tools to fill gaps in availability and performance monitoring, utilizing both on-premises and cloud-based hosting technologies
Support systems throughout the entire IT project lifecycle, to include refining requirements, creating design documentation, creating installation instructions and deployment plans, operating procedures, and providing O&M support
Manage monitoring systems configurations, alarm and event rules, thresholds, and notifications.
Support existing solutions to include Riverbed Steel Central Aternity and AppResponse, LibreNMS, Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), and vendor specific monitoring tools to include VMware VROps, Citrix Director, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and NetApp Active IQ
Perform systems hardening to DoD Standards. Support tasks required to apply vendor patches and new designs to keep products up-to-date and meet security requirements
EXPERIENCE:
Systems integration
Microsoft Windows and/or Linux Server administration
Experience in application, server, or network monitoring
Scripting, PowerShell or other scripting languages
Hands on with virtual environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and VMware is desired.
System configuration based on security guidelines such as DISA STIGs
Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI and CI polygraph. Willing to sponsor for CI polygraph for right candidate.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
10 years of experience in IT industry to include familiarity with enterprise services such as Directory Services (AD, LDAP, DNS, DHCP), Email (Exchange), File and Print Services, Software management (SCCM, WSUS, RetHat Satellite)
1+ years of systems integration experience
CompTIA Security+ CE certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II qualification
Desired Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or other IT related field.
3+ years of experience with system, network, or application monitoring tools
Linux system administration highly desired
Hands on experience in system monitoring tools such as Aternity, Dynatrace, Science Logic, LibreNMS, VrOPS, vCenter, or MS SCOM
Enterprise Service monitoring or User Experience monitoring highly desired
Good understanding of Windows / Linux systems administration techniques
Hands on experience administering enterprise applications such as MS Exchange, Citrix VDI, Cisco Jabber, etc. is useful
Hands on experience in supporting/monitoring/maintaining virtualization such as VMWare, Hyper-V, Citrix XenApp or Microsoft App-V
