**A Day in the Life**
See how the Hugo system is bringing robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery to more people in more places than ever before in this new system workflow test opportunity.
Facilitate the simulated workflow of a robotic surgical system for reliability testing in a test laboratory setting as if it were to be performed in an operating room under the supervision of the Lead System Workflow Project Engineer.
Responsibilities include:
+ Train volunteers to use the robotic surgical system and execute specified surgical tasks.
+ Perform simulated bedside assist functions including positioning the system components, instrument exchanges, and introduction and removal of test materials.
+ Document system performance and usage.
+ Perform basic data analysis, generate reports, and activate the appropriate response mechanisms to issues observed during testing.
+ Perform manual setup and tear down activities, including cleaning of all equipment surfaces, and orienting medical equipment for daily storage and transport within the simulated OR.
+ Perform periodic workflows including manually transporting medical equipment throughout the facility, taking measurements to evaluate system functional performance over time, and emergency simulation or response activities.
+ Perform batches of repetitive cycling of ergonomic adjustments and interactions with user interfaces including buttons, switches, touch screens, and medical equipment control surfaces.
+ Work with development engineers to identify and implement continuous improvements to data acquisition, analysis, and reporting.
+ Coordinate with Lead System Workflow Project Engineer to ensure workflow consumables are available for each days activities.
+ Coordinate with Reliability Engineers to ensure baseline and periodic system tests are conducted and documented appropriately
**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelors degree required
+ Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience
**Nice to Have**
+ Ability to guide a diverse range of users who have significant professional expertise
+ Dedication to the integrity of the daily/production workflow and commitment to maintain the daily schedule
+ Acute attention to detail and note taking/documenting ability for real-time user feedback and system performance
+ Acute attention to detail when interfacing/interacting with expensive/sophisticated capital medical equipment
+ Experience with medical devices, robotics, or automated laboratory equipment
+ Experience working as/with medical staff, preferably in a surgical Operating Room
