The ICG (Institutional Client Group) Technology Strategy & Delivery team is responsible for articulating, communicating and driving strategic growth priorities. After the recent separation of ICG Technology and Operations, there is an opportunity to review, reset and drive specific focus areas for Technology which consists of 30,000 staff globally - while ensuring that we create the most collaborative and effective environment with the rest of the bank.


This is a new role focused on development of the New Operating Model which aims to rebuild strategically important client services through leveraging technology to provide agility and scale, whilst reducing risk; and to provide our clients with better experience, faster time-to-market and higher quality products. This will be driven by the creation of multi-functional, dedicated, co-located teams, a focus on common core business outcomes through KPIs and OKRs, and a service-based architecture that prioritises agility and reusability. The services in NOM will allow us to bring together best-in-class technology with modern methodologies in the context of clear strategic deliverables in a short time frame.


The successful candidate for this high impact role needs to be versatile in mindset, comfortable with a high degree of context switching, and adept at making things happen in a large bank. Day to day work will vary constantly, ranging from delivering strategic communications and deliverables to project/program managing and process unblocking.


The candidate will be expected to build strong working relationships across the whole bank, from technology and business to all functional areas such as Risk, Compliance, Finance. They will also partner with other team members to help develop product strategy and get new services launched.


The role will be based in New York.


**Core responsibilities**


Continue to develop assets and support services through the implementation of those assets, including but not limited to business case / financial planning support, product / lean startup approach, OKR development, training and cascading.


Support the New Operating Model design and delivery


Regular involvement in NOM services supporting support with strategy / business case alignment, governance, problem solving and collaboration across Citi working closely with the CEO of service and their core team, as well as the broader NOM team.


Coordinate various projects, workstreams, and processes at a program level and for individual services


Work closely with the rest of the ICG Technology Strategy team on common topics including how service business cases are fit for purpose for investment governance, and assisting on initiatives and special projects critical to the direction of business on behalf of the ICG Head of Technology


**Business Experience and Technical Skills:**


Experience in corporate innovation, strategy, operations, business development or project/program management roles, preferably with experience in large financial institutions


Exposure to/knowledge of key risk and operational processes


Exposure to/knowledge of digital product development frameworks and approaches, including Lean Start-up methodology.


Self-motivated, highly adaptive and able to work well in a demanding environment


Strong problem-solving and organisation skills, presence, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to articulate concepts and issues to senior leaders, gain consensus and drive implementation


Strategic and project management capabilities coupled with strong analytic and financial acumen


Excellent stakeholder management skills to ensure alignment and buy-in across the organization


Strong interpersonal, influencing and written/verbal communications skills


A commitment to excellence and collaboration with a diverse workforce
