National Geographic is looking for a Unit Manager to schedule and track deliverables for a variety of programming, across production companies worldwide serving linear channels as well as Disney+. The Unit Manager will work closely with the production team and third-party production companies to ensure best practices across assigned programming. Key responsibilities include creating and finalizing contract attachments, tracking deliverables, overseeing schedule changes, and liaising with various key internal departments.
**Responsibilities**
+ Liaise with third party production companies and internal departments to create, negotiate and finalize contract attachments for newly assigned programming.
+ Provide vendors with all technical specifications, clocks and credit requirements, and advise on all technical and business standard operating guidelines to ensure programs meet the high-quality standards expected for Nat Geo content.
+ Proactively communicate with third party production companies throughout the production regarding the schedule.
+ Maintain cut and master delivery schedules and follow up on outstanding deliverables and/or late deliveries.
+ Assist production companies with problem solving both production and post production issues to ensure production stays on schedule.
+ Track and take receipt of program deliverables and notify internal departments of delivery and schedule changes throughout production.
+ Update and maintain production and deliverable statuses in Nat Geo Contents systems so internal departments have up to date information regarding delivery schedules.
+ Assist Marketing in facilitating ancillary asset requests and delivery from various internal Nat Geo partners and TWDC business units.
**Basic Qualifications**
+ 3+ years of long-form, unscripted production experience working as a Production Coordinator on original productions for broadcast networks and/or streaming platforms and/or third-party production companies. Knowledge of production and post-production processes and logistics in addition to familiarity with broadcast deliverables and technical specifications.
+ Experience working with international clients.
+ Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, as well as diplomacy skills when working on challenging projects.
+ Ability to switch between multiple unique projects that are in different stages of production worldwide (i.e. different time zones).
+ An awareness of the bigger picture as it relates to the entire production, linear channels and Disney+ programming slate, as well as team members workloads.
+ Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel), media-sharing platforms, and customized data entry applications.
+ Ability to quickly adapt to learning new technology, workflows, software and systems.
+ Extremely detailed oriented, comfortable multi-tasking, managing time effectively, taking initiative with little direction.
+ Ability to prioritize whats most important at any given moment and adjust as necessary.
