The Finance, Treasury, Liquidity, Capital, and Risk functions at Citi are consumers of a vast amount of data that spans across the entirety of the firm, cutting across all lines of business, asset classes, and geographies. To meet the needs of these functions, a large, centralized data platform has been developed to enable the acquisition of data from all appropriate sources across the firm, the normalization of data to make it consistent and consumable, the management of data to ensure its complete and accurate, and the distribution of data to the consuming functions that require it. The scale of data that flows through this platform is significant, with thousands of inbound feeds being managed daily, dozens of consuming applications, and a 100+ terabyte data store in the middle. While there have been efforts made to automate integration and regression testing, we need to substantially increase our investment in both automated testing tools and driving a test-first mindset in our requirement management and engineering practices.
The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval. Manages initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production. Testing specialists who work with technology project managers, UAT professionals and users to design and implement appropriate scripts/plans for an application testing strategy/approach. Responsibilities may also include software quality assurance testing.

+ Develops and implements methods for cost, effort, and milestones of IT Quality activities.
+ Strives for continuous improvements and streamlining of processes and manages organizational process change
+ Ensures consistency and quality of processes across the organization and manages testing teams.
+ Collaborates with client leads and development organizations and partners with business users.
+ Produces testing workload definition and analysis, factoring in known or projected volumes and transaction mix, to ensure coverage of critical business transactions.
+ Requires communication with external parties and negotiate with others at a senior level
+ Analyzes trends at an organizational level to improve processes; follows and analyzes industry trends.
+ Exhibits in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of these elements in other areas.
+ Uses evaluative judgment in complicated or novel situations, uses multiple sources of information. Impacts IT testing through delivery of end results and contribution to planning, finances/budget and formulation of policies.
+ Management responsibility for a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
**Qualifications:**
+ 6+ project management experience or experience leading large scale transformational global change.
+ 6+ years Stakeholder and people management experience
+ 5+ years experience with Data warehouse testing and ETL experience
+ 5+ years experience in programming and scripting skills for automated test case development
+ 5+ years with OOO design with automated test case development
+ 5+ years proven experience creating automation test script and tools to support test automation
+ 5+ years relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
+ Must have experience with Implementing Data Quality Testing Strategy and responsible for executing automated testing strategy in area managed.
+ Translate business process diagrams to system requirements in the development of automation testing solutions
+ Experience with extending test coverage and automation scripts
+ Mentor and provide training global team to become automation tester
+ In-depth understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle processes
+ Good Data Analytical skills and Data Quality Check
+ Thorough understanding of end to end testing processes, Test Management and other testing related tools
+ Requires communication and diplomacy skills and an ability to persuade and influence.

Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience
5+ knowledge in Java or other programming language with Unit Test Framework
5+ experience in Java or other programming language object-oriented design and design pattern
5+ experience in Java or other programming language DSL /Fluent Interface Implementation
5+ experience in data quality functional testing automation
5+ experience in ETL/ Data Quality Testing
