**About the Team:**
The Risk Framework team within the Enterprise Risk Management function of Independent Risk Management is responsible for designing and driving enhancements to, and facilitating the execution of, the firms Citis core risk management frameworks to strengthen the Citis firms risk management capabilities. This includes managing the firm's Citi's risk governance frameworks to support a clear and consistent articulation of the Citi's firm's day-to-day risk management practices to ensure risks are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled and reported.
**About the Role:**
We are seeking an experienced professional to support the firms risk governance framework and related governance mechanisms. The responsibilities of the role are significant contributors to the success of the broader teams mandate to deliver best-in-class risk governance programs and processes. The successful candidate will have risk management experience in credit, market and/or liquidity at large banking institutions, strong communication skills, and work well in a team environment across a range of stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Support the delivery of the end-to-end update, review and challenge of the firms risk governance framework, including deepening internal networks with senior management to ensure robust and relevant content and stakeholder participation
+ Gather and deploy expert knowledge of the evolving regulatory and industry operating environment to inform the design of governance mechanisms to account for their potential impact
+ Support the development and adoption of firm-wide risk governance standards by all the lines of defense, across businesses/functions, countries and legal entities and act as the subject matter expert on risk governance framework-related activities
+ Work with senior management and team leads to cascade firm-wide risk governance principles and standards into underlying policies and processes
+ Support assessing the implementation of the firms risk governance framework across the lines of defense
+ Support regulatory and audit reviews at various levels
**Qualifications:**
+ 6 - 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a role that requires superior critical thinking, problem solving and excellent oral / written communication skills (e.g., consulting and/or regulatory)
+ Bachelors or Advanced degree(s)
+ Proven experience in executing book of work, identifying and escalating issues, and working under pressure to meet tight deadlines
+ High attention to detail with ability to quickly learn new concepts
+ General knowledge of financial risks (e.g., credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, etc.) and/or non-financial risks (e.g., operational risk, compliance risk, etc.), as well as financial services businesses and products
+ Adept at building relationships with key stakeholders and developing consensus to support change
**Responsibilities:**
+ Lead projects across their lifecycle: identifying and structuring the problem, analyzing root causes, developing solutions, communicating project results, and obtaining buy-in for change.
+ Manage all aspects of client service, including planning, prioritizing and organizing projects.
+ Develop and strengthen relationships with executives across the business.
+ Identify opportunities to add value beyond the scope of formal projects.
+ Contribute to continuous team improvement and management, e.g., provide leadership in recruiting, coach junior staff, etc.
+ Efficiently solve complex, ambiguous problems/situations.
+ Multi-tasks productively and reliably, while managing conflicting priorities.
+ Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
+ Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
+ Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
+ Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
**Qualifications:**
+ 6-10 years experience in financial services.
+ Strategy consulting experience.
+ Ability to problem solve, sound business judgment, and demonstrated result orientation.
+ Outstanding analytical and quantitative capabilities; history of academic and professional excellence and achievement.
+ Creativity and independent thinking;
+ Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
+ Collaborative work style; effectively interacts with partners across organizational boundaries/hierarchies. Leadership presence; commands respect and will earn trust of senior leaders. Highly motivated and with enthusiasm for Financial Services industry and desire to master the business.
+ Sound working knowledge of financial modeling and can analyze financial statements. Highly proficient in MS PowerPoint and Excel.
**Education:**
+ Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
