The VP, Marketing Technology and Data Platforms will lead the strategy, development and evolution of the technology and data platforms that support Humana's marketing function. A key Humana goal is to develop highly personalized, omni-channel communications experiences. This role is essential to Humana's transformation towards a customer-centric operating model. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this Vice President will serve as a critical member of Humana's marketing leadership team, and will lead the development and adoption of best-in-class marketing tools at scale. The VP, Marketing Technology and Data Platforms will build and lead a team of product owners and technical experts, with an agenda to modernize and transform Humana's enterprise marketing capabilities, as well as adjacent enterprise platforms and data. The successful candidate will project a compelling vision for Humana's marketing platforms, architect and execute an enterprise transformation plan and roadmap, and act as a key change agent to accelerate marketing adoption and transformation. **Responsibilities** **Key Responsibilities** + Serve as the Chief Product Owner for marketing platforms. Develop a vision and lead the implementation of a technology roadmap that is scalable, provides competitive advantage and delivers an intuitive, personalized customer experience for key audiences. + Facilitate a collaborative process to ensure segment marketing strategies and technology plans are aligned, prioritized, and focused on the greatest opportunities to drive engagement and profitable growth. + Translate digital technology investments into direct and measurable business results. + Hire and develop a team of product owners, architects, technical writers and other required skills to fulfill the roadmap and the operational requirements of the function, with a goal of at-scale platform adoption. + Provide in-depth training as part of the roll-out of digital marketing solutions. + Negotiate and manage marketing technology vendor relationships; negotiate technology contracts; and manage the marketing technology budget and resources in alignment with agreed-upon business KPIs. + Partner with IT leaders on operationalizing the marketing technology vision. + Partner with other stakeholders in the marketing team for planning, budgeting, and goal setting. + Provide thought leadership on the MarTech industry by building awareness and knowledge of external industry trends, engaging and educating key internal stakeholders, and adjusting long term plans as needed. **Key Candidate Qualifications** In general terms, the ideal candidate will have proven success as a data-centric, business-minded, highly strategic product (or line of business) marketing or marketing technology executive. He/she will possess extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in the marketing technology space managing enterprise CRM, marketing automation platforms, and the full MarTech stack. This candidate will have deep hands-on experience with CRM technical concepts and tools, including such things as relational databases, customer data platforms, analytic modeling, campaign management and automation, content management, and business-intelligence systems. Finally, this person will also be a strong leader of people with proven success in expanding and elevating the capabilities and performance of the team. A Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably with a core focus on engineering, computer science, marketing or mathematics; MBA or other advanced degree will be a plus. In addition to the above, the following professional qualifications and personal attributes are also sought and will be ideal: + Experience with MarTech solutions such as Adobe (CMS, campaign, analytics, audience builder), SalesForce (CRM, marketing cloud, CDP, MRM,), Marketo, Power BI, Azure, Google Analytics + Current or recent experience in a large, highly matrixed company (i.e., Fortune 250), with proven ability to influence leaders and key stakeholders in such an environment; experience within highly-regulated industries such as healthcare, insurance and financial services is a plus. + Strong understanding of the business use cases that marketing technology can enable. + Highly collaborative mindset and excellent relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage many diverse stakeholders and SMEs, and win their co-ownership in the outcomes. + Demonstrated ability to take information and make it actionable; react to market trends, opportunities, and threats; and leverage data to drive thinking and strategies. + Solid understanding of B2C marketing dynamics. + Experience in managing change by leading and energizing others, modeling adaptability, and inspiring strong organizational performance through periods of transformation, ambiguity, and complexity. + Disciplined project management and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects and priorities, as well as ensure project stakeholder accountability, collaboration and solid execution of work. + Excellent oral and written communications skills at all organizational levels, with the ability to frame complex digital marketing, CRM and technical concepts in a way that facilitates discussion and deeper levels of understanding among stakeholders; the polish, poise, and executive presence that will ensure effective interaction with senior and executive level audiences + Passion for learning and keeping abreast of MarTech trends/new technology, while representing Humana across industry events and speaking engagements. + A record of success in attracting, developing, and motivating top talent from inside and outside of the organization, and preparing direct reports for expanded responsibilities. + Experience managing external vendor relationships. **Scheduled Weekly Hours** 40 Humana complies with all applicable federal civil rights laws and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or religion.
