This is a hands-on Tech Lead position responsible for accomplishing results working in coordination with the App Development Teams, Testing, Stability, Infrastructure and Support teams. Role involves building new teams and setting up best practices.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Deliver application performance certification services with deliverables including Workload Design, Test Strategy, Environment Requirements, Data Requirements, Monitoring Requirements, Tuning Recommendations, Defect Analysis report, Performance Certification Report, Scalability/breakpoint Testing Report and FMEA results
+ Design and deliver chaos experiments/testing strategy on a distributed system to build confidence in the system's capability to withstand turbulent conditions in production.
+ Develop and deliver automation features for Performance Engineering product capabilities.
+ Mentoring Application development, Operations and Testing teams on the performance certification lifecycle processes and enabling them for self-service
+ Ensure platform tech stack components are architected and deployed to meet non-functional requirements for performance
+ Tuning of key system components (above gold config), monitoring KPIs, identifying performance bottlenecks and providing recommendations for predicable results in production
+ Lead regular project and program reviews with key stakeholders. Continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
+ The implementation and execution of a performance test framework for non-functional testing (load, volume, stress, capacity, and scalability) which validate business non-functional requirements.
+ Will be actively involved in creating performance testing artifacts including Performance test strategy and test plans/estimates, test cases, test execution reports, defect / issues reports, action / item reports, project plans and KPIs.
+ Hands on development and execution of performance test scripts
**Qualifications**
+ 6+ years of experience in performance engineering or reliability engineering
+ 6+ years experience managing a team of engineers is preferred.
+ 6+ years experience in performance benchmarking/certification of cloud and next generation tech stack components along with strong troubleshooting skills and analysts
+ 5+ years experience in building automation solutions/products to reduce manual toil
+ 5+ years experience with Performance Testing tools (e.g., Load Runner (Microfocus Performance Center), JMeter)
+ 3+ years experience with APM Tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Dynatrace, CA Introscope, ELK & Splunk).
+ Python, Windows PowerShell, and Linux Scripting experience
+ SoapUI/Postman, Log parsing using Log Parser or Shell script, SQL
+ Demonstrated high level technical expertise diagnosing and troubleshooting complex hardware and software failures in mixed platform environment
+ Strong experience in JMeter
+ Strong debugging skills in e.g., Java or any other programming language to a good level
+ A proven ability to evaluate Performance test script / code and test results and provide clear interpretation of risks and mitigation options to non-technical stakeholders
+ Experience of developing, extending, and executing performance test frameworks
+ Experience of developing stubs and drivers
+ Experience of working in Agile development teams
**Preferences**
+ Industry standard certifications in Performance Engineering or application programming like Java preferred.
