Job Summary:

The New York City office has an opportunity for a Wealth Management Sales Support Associate to assist Wealth Strategists in Northern Trust's Greater New York offices with the major components of the sales process relating to the acquisition of new trust and investment management clients. Responsibilities include prospect research, pipeline maintenance, presentation preparation, and other activities essential to effectively managing the sales process. The target market is ultra-high net worth individuals and families, foundations, endowments, and non-profit organizations.

Major Duties:

1.Prepare and customize materials for sales meetings and presentations..
2.Works with Wealth Strategists to maintain active prospect files and reminders to initiate calls for proper follow up.
3.Coordinates the process for new account documentation.
4.Makes necessary travel arrangements for the wealth strategists and processes related expense reports on a timely basis.
5.Enters and manages prospect information in the enterprise relationship management system to maintain an accurate pipeline for the wealth strategists and monthly sales projections for sales management.
6.Researches prospects through various external sources in preparation for sales calls and presentations.
7.Manages correspondence and reports for the Wealth Strategists, focused on proactive outreach initiatives.
8.Submits account documents to the legal area and external attorneys to obtain missing information, correct documents, clarify information, and resolve problem situations.
9.Performs special projects (i.e. coordinating reports, preparing account analysis and workflow reports) that require responding to specific account inquiries and issues.
10. Communicates with partner areas on all aspects of a client relationship and initiates activity which fulfills a partner's or client's needs.
11. Works to assist periodically with the New York Marketing Specialist when someone in the local area is required and local assistance is needed.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of personal wealth management market and related products and services. Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills are necessary. Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint are required.
Business degree and/or equivalent work/education experience. Candidates should have 2 or more years of related client/sales servicing work experience.
