**Role Description** :
The ICG Digital Assets team drives initiatives for Digital Assets across our businesses. The team aims to be a thought leader and strategic advisor, with deep expertise in distributed ledger technology, market structure and ICG businesses, as well as a partner to Citi, our clients, and the digital innovator ecosystem in operationalizing digital initiatives. We work across Markets, Securities Services, TTS and BCMA and together with functional partners to lead the identification and execution of initiatives. We also work closely with FinTechs, clients and counterparties.
The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to drive engagements and interact at the executive level, as well as a technical understanding that enables them to comfortably and effectively interact with tech leads, software developers, and architects. The candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Help develop the Citi ICG strategy for Digital Assets and develop expertise in this growing domain which could considerably change the business landscape
+ Identify and execute on new strategic initiatives, including developing and supporting the strategic program roadmap, development, launch, and marketing
+ Actively drive identification, assessment and engagement with both the innovator and incumbent Digital Asset ecosystem. Support digital asset partnership & investment strategic evaluation
+ Track Digital companies, trends and innovations, including via first-hand engagement with the startup and VC community, as well as Citi business and functional partners
+ Identify key implications for Citi businesses, investor and corporate clients, and the overall financial market ecosystem (disruptive potential, development of new capabilities, emergence of new revenue models) across the investment process, product development and delivery, and operational infrastructure
+ Liaise with Digital Innovation-focused groups within Citi to co-partner around client engagements, provide input into BAS content pieces and, conversely, help inform Citis own strategy around FinTech & Digital Assets based on BAS work
+ Work with clients and partners to advise them on the evolution of the space and Citis approach, as well as identify opportunities for partnership and new ventures
+ Develop content pieces on relevant topics in the space for internal and external dissemination
+ Lead and / or support the planning and execution of bespoke projects across the business
+ Set up the teams infrastructure in terms of processes, deliverables, resources, data, and other needs
**Key Skills:**
+ **Digital Assets Background / Interest:** Strong interest and professional or personal expertise in digital assets related models, technology and/or market structure. Passionate about the potential of DLT / Digital assets with experience in building solutions in this space
+ **Strategic Thinker with Execution Orientation:** Ability to think conceptually and develop active recommendations on Citis approach to the ecosystem, while being able to drive and execute on new business initiatives in an often whitespace environment
+ **Excellent Analytical & Problem-solving Skills:** Comfortable developing strategic recommendations based on limited quantitative and qualitative information and driving towards decisions in partnership with other stakeholder groups
+ **Strong Communication Skills:** Clear and concise written and verbal communicator with the ability to outline and complete written content pieces for internal and external distributions, and develop presentations for client and Citi senior management
+ **Collaborative Teammate:** The ability to drive results with a high degree of intra-team collaboration and communication is essential at all levels and from all team members. The team highly values diversity of thought, experience, and is committed to an inclusive work environment
+ **Self-Starter & Entrepreneurial Mentality** : Self-starter who can own their analysis, research, and deliverables, and operate independently as the team are often spread out around the globe working on parallel initiatives. The ideal candidate will need to be resourceful, creative as this subject matter is extremely dynamic. He/she will need to show ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate and be comfortable with ambiguity.
+ **Risk & Control Orientation:** Appreciation and understanding of risk & control requirements
**Qualifications:**
+ Experience in working within a financial services, technology, or strategy consulting or product role
+ Passion and first practical experience in DLT/Digital Assets/Crypto
+ Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience
+ Masters degree preferred
