Prudentials Chief Investment Office (CIO) manages market risks associated with Variable Annuity (VA) Guarantees, RILA, and other annuity business. The group owns the analysis of key asset and liability risk measures and decision-making relative to the hedging of these risks.
CIO ALM Strategy and Analytics group is responsible for asset and liability modeling, R&D, analysis, and broad strategic quantitative support of pricing, hedging, and valuation of VA guarantees and other insurance products.
Main Responsibilities
Develop and maintain derivative valuation and projection capabilities in support of ALM and risk management of insurance products
Research and implement interest rate, equity, credit, and foreign exchange models used in valuation of domestic and international products across the company
Interface with Technology team to build market data and trade databases, and automate data feeds
Support analysis and research related to implementation of hedging strategies
Qualifications
Higher degree in financial engineering, mathematics, computer science, statistics or other quantitative fields
Strong programming skills in Python, C++, C#
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Solid written communication skills
Creative problem solver with an aptitude for complex technical work
Experience in pricing derivative instruments is a plus
Ability to use Numerix, Bloomberg, or Summit is a plus
