The Chief Investment Office (CIO) of Prudential conducts asset and liability management and portfolio construction for all of Prudentials domestic and international business operations and manages over $400 billion in assets under management as of 12/31/2021. Prudential Select Strategies LLC is a unit of the CIO responsible for alternative investments.
Prudential Select Strategies LLC is a registered investment adviser that originates, underwrites, and manages a diversified portfolio of fund investments to maximize risk-adjusted return on required capital. The team is organized into the following asset classes and teams: Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Real Assets, Manager of Managers, Operational Due Diligence, and Risk Management. The Alternative Assets Team within Prudential Select Strategies managed over $15 billion as of December 31, 2021.
Prudential Select Strategies LLC is seeking investment professionals to join its Hedge Fund and Real Assets teams.
Hedge Fund Team: The Hedge Fund Team invests globally in hedge funds across a broad range of strategies including macro, equity long/short, relative value and event driven. The portfolio has a net asset value of over $4 billion as of December 31, 2021.
Real Assets Team: The Real Assets Team invests globally in private equity real estate funds across the risk spectrum (core through opportunistic), tax credit funds, and selective co-investment opportunities. The portfolio has a net asset value of over $2.7 billion as of December 31, 2021.
The candidate will be expected to:
Support senior investment professionals in the underwriting and due diligence process of investments, leading to the creation of investment memos
Work closely with senior investment professionals for on-going monitoring including generating reports to help analyze and assess existing fund investments
Conduct ad-hoc quantitative and qualitative analyses, industry benchmarking and peer groups
Collaborate with other teams within the organization as part of the investment due diligence and execution process
Conduct global market, industry and strategy research and be informed about current and developing sector and market trends, as well as support related analytical projects

This role is a part of the CIO Analyst Program, a three-year, entry-level role within the Chief Investment Office. Our program provides exposure to multiple pockets of a dynamic organization while creating the opportunity for success and recognition through substantial and long-term business impact.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited bachelors program graduating between December 2022 and May 2023
Preferred majors include Finance, economics, or a similarly quantitative subject area.
Minimum 3.0 GPA recommended

Preferred Skills:
Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Knowledge of Bloomberg Terminal
