The **Asset Manager** plays a central role in the organization, accessibility, safe storage and retention, data and privacy compliance, and rights clearance of all media, digital, physical, and other assets for Disney Institute and Nat Geo LIVE. Reporting to the Leader of Business Affairs & Integration, this role ensures the availability of assets for business use, in the safest, most reliable, and most efficient ways possible.


**You Will:**


+ Build, implement, and operate central platforms for data and media asset storage that serve specific internal client needs, within approved budget parameters and while maintaining full compliance with all applicable legal and Company requirements

+ Manage rights clearance process for all creative assets (video, photo, other multimedia) used for DI or NGL content and products, including the creation and delivery of rights advisories

+ Track availability and use of assets against allocated product budgets

+ Build, implement, and maintain internal workflows for asset inventory, use, and approval

+ Establish a framework, methods and policies for the creation, maintenance, and storage of all legal binders

+ Partner and consult with Contracts, legal, and area managers to produce licensing agreements

+ Collaborate with Technology and Information Security partners to ensure the continuous evaluation of most-effective use of asset management technology

+ Monitor for and flag privacy, data safety, and other risks, and pro-actively propose remedies and solutions

+ Support all corporate or segment-specific data, compliance, or record retention initiatives, including audits


**Basic Qualifications:**


+ Minimum 5 years of experience in Operations, Logistics, Project Management or Assets

+ Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks at once

+ Attention to detail, and ability to remain calm and resourceful under tight deadlines

+ Experience with budget and vendor management

+ Experience building a network across clients, supporting partners, and operating teams

+ Experience with customer service and a clear service mindset

+ Strong communication skills; can present ideas in a concise, well-organized manner

+ Experience working directly with senior business executives, and other internal and external partners

+ Experience handling sensitive or confidential information with the utmost discretion

+ Problem solving skills and ability to come up with creative solutions

+ Technology needed: Word, Excel (can perform complex functions), PowerPoint, Keynote, Outlook and MAC OS


**Preferred Qualifications:**


+ National Geographic and Disney brand and product affinity

+ Experience with a Digital Assessment Management (DAM) system including selecting a new system

+ Experience maintaining a DAM system and physical asset warehouse

+ Compliance or rights and clearance experience

+ Experience handling assets including company IP

+ Experience working with a variety of assets both physical and digital such as media, logos, presentations, videos and audio.


**Required Education:**


Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Master's Degree
